The sewing process is simple and requires few steps. I started by marking the pieces: front and back. Then I cut them out. When marking, it's important to check the fabric's stretch. The part that stretches the most should be aligned with the grain so it adapts to the body. If it's aligned with the grain, it will be too tight, and in some cases, unusable due to the limited stretch the fabric has. Checking the grain direction and stretch is crucial in the first step.

El proceso de elaboración es sencillo y requiere pocos pasos, inicié marcando las piezas; delantero y posterior, luego corté, al momento de marcar es importante verificar la elongación de la tela, la cual debe tener la parte que más estira en la dirección de los hilos, así se adapta a la contextura, al hacerlo en sentido contrario, queda muy ajustada y en algunos casos no se puede usar por el poco margen, que tienen los hilos de la tela para expandirse. En el primer paso es fundamental verificar la dirección de los hilos y elongación.
Then I sewed the front and back pieces together at the shoulders and sides, pinned them, and sewed with a straight stitch. I added several stitches to reinforce this part, as it supports the bust.
Once the shoulders were sewn, I checked that the seams were strong and pinned the side seams. The side seams should meet at a slight curve to give the top and armhole a better shape. I then sewed the side seams with a straight stitch and added several more stitches for reinforcement.
Luego enfrenté delantero y posterior por los hombros y costados, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta, pasé varias costuras para asegurar y darle fuerza a esta parte, ya que es el soporte del busto.
Cerrados los hombros, verifiqué que las costuras estuviesen fuertes y fijé los laterales con alfileres, aquí deben coincidir la caída de los laterales en una ligera curva, esto dará mejor forma al top y la sisa, con puntada recta cerré los costados, también pasé varias costuras para reforzar.
Once the top was assembled, the next step was to glue the bias tape to the neck and armholes. Since the bias tape has a small pattern, I placed it with the right side of the bias tape facing the right side of the fabric. This way, when turned right side out, the soft side of the bias tape faces down and doesn't irritate the skin. I sewed with a decorative stitch, stretching one (1) centimeter of bias tape every five (5) centimeters. The bias tape is glued with the small patterns or embellishments facing down, so that when turned right side out, these are on the outside and also serve as decoration for the top.
Ensamblado el top, el siguiente paso fue pegar el sesgo en el cuello y sisas, como el sesgo es de moritas lo coloqué enfrentando el derecho del sesgo con el derecho de la tela, así al voltear queda la parte suave del sesgo hacia abajo y no molesta la piel, cosí con puntada decorativa estirando un (1) centímetro de sesgo cada cinco (5) centímetros, el sesgo se pega con las moritas o adornos hacia abajo, para que al voltear estas queden afuera y además sirven de decoración al top.
Then I turned the bias tape inside out and sewed it using the decorative stitch again.
Once the bias tape was attached to the top, I measured the hem circumference and subtracted ten (10) centimeters, giving me the measurement for the bias tape (75 - 10 = 65 cm). Then I attached the bias tape in the same way as for the armholes and neckline, stretching it one (1) centimeter every five (5) centimeters. With these simple steps, a beautiful two-tone racerback crop top is ready.
Luego volteé el sesgo por el revés, cosí usando nuevamente puntada decorativa.
Pegado el sesgo, en la parte superior, medí el contorno del bajo y le resté diez (10) centímetros, así obtuve la medida del sesgo (75 - 10 = 65 cm), luego pegué el sesgo de la misma que en las sisas y cuello, estirando un (1) centímetro cada cinco (5) centímetros, con estos sencillos pasos está listo un hermoso crop top bicolor corte olímpico.
