Hola amigas y amigos de HiveDIY, me complace inmensamente tener la oportunidad de compartir hoy con ustedes una manualidad que realicé recientemente. Se trata de un dulcero hecho con materiales de provecho y con foami, la temática es navideña por la época en que nos encontramos.

Les cuento que la idea de crear este dulcero nace porque la maestra de mi nieta Lis, le pide que para la fecha de la fiestecita de despedida por este mes de diciembre, cada estudiante debe llevar un presente de dulces variados a un compañerito de clases. No quería que Lis llevará los dulces en una bolsa transparente o similar, sino que fuese en algo más personalizado.

Hello friends of HiveDIY, I am immensely pleased to have the opportunity to share with you today a craft that I recently made. It is a candy box made with useful materials and foam, the theme is Christmas because of the time in which we find ourselves.

I tell you that the idea of creating this candy store was born because my granddaughter Lis's teacher asked her that for the date of the farewell party for this month of December, each student must bring a present of various sweets to a classmate. I didn't want Lis to carry the candy in a transparent bag or similar, but rather for it to be in something more personalized.

Lo que más me gustó de realizar esta manualidad fue cuando mi nieta al ver el resultado final me dijo: Guao, es el vestido de Santa!. Aún al escribir este post siento esa misma emoción de satisfacción cuando la vi sorprendida y alegre. Ella siempre me acompaña en cualquier manualidad o actividad que realizo, por su condición no suele hablar ni nada, salvo algunas excepciones. Pero, siempre compartimos el mismo espacio, nunca una alejada de la otra y creo que pese a nuestra ausencia de palabras, es una manera de decirnos en actos: Estoy aquí contigo...

Por otro lado, la maestra al ver el dulcero que Lis llevaba a la escuela me dijo que era bastante práctico, que luego al compañerito le podría quedar para decorar o meter algunas cositas más allí.

What I liked most about making this craft was when my granddaughter, upon seeing the final result, told me: Wow, it's Santa's dress!. Even when writing this post I feel that same emotion of satisfaction when I saw her surprised and happy. She always accompanies me in any craft or activity that she does, due to her condition she does not usually speak or anything, with some exceptions. But, we always share the same space, never far from each other and I think that despite our absence of words, it is a way of saying to each other in actions: I am here with you...

On the other hand, the teacher, upon seeing the candy box that Lis brought to school, told me that it was quite practical, that later the classmate could use it to decorate or put a few more things in there.

Materiales

• Un envase de refresco
• Foamis de colores: Blanco, rojo, negro y amarillo
• Silicon o algún tipo de pegamento
• Tijera - Yeskero o pistola de silicon

Materials

• Colored foams: White, red, black and yellow

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process

Iniciamos cortando el envase de manera horizontal, pueden hacerlo con un cuchillo o con las tijeras. En mi caso lo he hecho con tijeras, para así a la misma vez emparejar bien los bordes y porque me resulta más cómodo.

We start by cutting the container horizontally, you can do it with a knife or scissors. In my case I have done it with scissors, so that at the same time I even out the edges well and because it is more comfortable for me.

He cortado el foami según el tamaño de alto y ancho para cubrir completamente el envase de refresco.

I have cut the foam according to the height and width size to completely cover the soda container.

Con pegamento o silicon, pegué el foami al envase. Si van a usar silicon caliente deben tener cuidado de que no esté a tan alta temperatura porque podría deformar o perforar el envase.

With glue or silicone, I attached the foam to the container. If you are going to use hot silicone, you should be careful that it is not at such a high temperature because it could deform or puncture the container.

Proseguí a cortar las piezas para los detalles como: tirantes del overol, broche, cinturón y botones. Cada pieza en su respectivo color.

I continued to cut the pieces for the details such as: overalls straps, brooch, belt and buttons. Each piece in its respective color.

Por ultimo he colocado con silicon cada pieza en su lugar. Pueden con marcador hacerle quizás algunos detalles adicionales.

Finally, I have placed each piece in its place with silicone. You can maybe make some additional details with a marker.

Resultado / Result

El resultado obtenido es lindo, agregar quizás algunos detalles adicionales es también bienvenido. Lo mejor es que podemos convertir un material que usualmente termina en nuestra basura, en algo funcional y lindo de obsequiar. Creo que también sería lindo en otras versiones como de reno o quizás de hombre de nieve.

The result obtained is nice, perhaps adding some additional details is also welcome. The best thing is that we can turn a material that usually ends up in our trash, into something functional and nice to give as a gift. I think it would also be cute in other versions like a reindeer or maybe a snowman.
