Hola amigos, espero que estén muy bien. Como verán la publicación de hoy está relacionada con la fecha patria de un país vecino del sur de América. En estos tiempos he leído y escuchado un poco más de lo habitual sobre las costumbres y tradiciones de este país. Recientemente viendo un LIVE por TikTok me enteré que en el mes de mayo los argentinos celebran su fecha patria, pero además hay un día especial dedicado a su escarapela.

Hace un tiempo yo había visto algunas tejedoras elaborando ESCARAPELAS y todas las hacían con los colores de la bandera de Argentina, la verdad es que me llamó la atención, pero luego fui indiferente. Hasta hace unos días que me dediqué a investigar sobre la definición de escarapela. Reconozco que me siento ignorante con respecto al tema, sin embargo recuerdo bien haber visto la escarapela de Venezuela en los trajes y moños de algunas niñas y mujeres adultas bailarinas. Aquí en mi país la escarapela venezolana no es un símbolo patrio, por tal razón no le damos la importancia que le dan en otros países hermanos a la suya.

Hello friends, I hope you are very well. As you will see today's publication is related to the national date of a neighboring country in the south of America. In these times I have read and heard a little more than usual about the customs and traditions of this country. Recently watching a LIVE on TikTok I found out that in the month of May the Argentines celebrate their patriotic date, but there is also a special day dedicated to their cockade.

Some time ago I had seen some weavers making SCARAPELS and they all made them with the colors of the flag of Argentina, the truth is that it caught my attention, but then I was indifferent. Until a few days ago I did some research on the definition of escarapela. I recognize that I feel ignorant about the subject, however I remember well having seen the Venezuelan cockade on the costumes and bows of some girls and adult women dancers. Here in my country the Venezuelan cockade is not a patriotic symbol, for that reason we do not give it the importance that other countries give to theirs.

🇳🇮 Decidí recrear una de las escarapelas que ví tejiendo. Me gustó mucho el diseño y además es muy facil de realizar. La chica que ví en el LIVE contaba que en el mes de mayo tejía y vendía muchas de ellas. Hay un diseño mucho más sencillo, pero este me gustó más.

MATERIALES/MATERIALS.

• Hilos acrílico de 1mm.
• Aguja de crochet de 1,60mm.
• Tijeras.
• Aguja lanera.
• Alfiler o broche.

🇳🇮 I decided to recreate one of the badges I saw knitting. I really liked the design and it is very easy to make. The girl I saw in the LIVE told me that in the month of May she knitted and sold many of them. There is a much simpler design, but I liked this one better.

MATERIALS/MATERIALS.

• 1mm acrylic yarn.
• 1.60mm crochet needle.
• Scissors.
• Wool needle.
• Pin or brooch.

PROCEDIMIENTO/PROCEDURE.

🇳🇮 Elaborar estas escarapelas es bastante sencillo y rápido, lo que más tarda es esconder los hilos sobrantes en el tejido. Sabemos que ser tejedor es sinónimo de paciencia 😌 así que si hiciera muchas de estas haríamos un curso intensivo de ser paciente a nivel exagerado 😃

• Empecé tejiendo con el hilo azul 💙. Tejí dentro de un anillo mágico 12 mpa (medio puntos altos). Cerré con pd, corté el hilo y lo pasé a la parte de atrás del tejido.
• Inserté por uno de los puntos el hilo blanco 🤍. Tejí un aumento de pa por cada mpa de la vuelta anterior. Cerré con pd la vuelta, corté el hilo y llevé para atrás la hebra sobrante.
• Tomé de nuevo el hilo azul 💙 para tejer la tercera y última vuelta. Levanté 2c para realizar el primer punto de la vuelta, en el siguiente tejí 5paj (en el mismo puntos 5pa). Seguí esa secuencia por toda la vuelta hasta terminarla. Cerré la vuelta con pd, corté el hilo y llevé la hebra para atrás del tejido.
• Con la aguja lanera fui escondiendo cada hebrita por dentro del color del tejido correspondiente.

🇳🇮 Making these rosettes is pretty simple and quick, what takes the longest is hiding the leftover yarns in the fabric. We know that being a knitter is synonymous with patience 😌 so if I made a lot of these we would do a crash course in being patient to an exaggerated level 😃.

• I started by knitting with the blue yarn 💙. I knit inside a magic ring 12 mpa (half high stitches). I closed with pd, cut the yarn and passed it to the back of the knitting.
• I inserted through one of the stitches the white yarn 🤍. I knit one increase of pa for each mpa of the previous round. I closed the loop with pd, cut the yarn, and brought the excess yarn to the back.
• I picked up the blue yarn again 💙 to knit the third and last loop. I picked up 2c to knit the first stitch of the row, in the next row I knit 5paj (in the same stitch 5pa). I followed that sequence for the whole round until I finished it. I closed the row with pd, cut the yarn and took the yarn to the back of the fabric.
• With the wool needle I hid each strand inside the corresponding color of the fabric.

🇳🇮 Muchas tejedoras tejen y venden las escarapelas así sencillas como resultó el tejido anterior, sin embargo me gustan mucho las que tienen esa forma de V invertida como complemento. Entonces le agregué esa otra pieza.

• Empecé tejiendo con el hilo azul 💙 25 cadenas. Sobre esas cadenas tejí 25mpa. Antes de cerrar el último punto enganché el hilo blanco 🤍, siempre dejando las hebras largas para que sea más fácil esconderlas luego.
• Tejí 25mpa con el hilo color blanco 🤍. Al finalizar Hive nuevamente el cambio de color a azul 💙.
• Tejí 25mpa con el hilo azul y al finalizar la vuelta cerré con 1pd, corté el hilo y empecé a esconder todas las hebras.

🇳🇮 Many weavers weave and sell the badges as simple as the previous weaving, but I really like the ones with the inverted V shape as a complement. So I added that other piece.

• I started by weaving with the blue yarn 💙 25 chains. Over those chains I knit 25mpa. Before closing the last stitch I hooked the white yarn 🤍, always leaving the strands long to make it easier to hide them later.
• I knit 25mpa with the white yarn 🤍. At the end Hive again the color change to blue 💙.
• I knit 25mpa with the blue yarn and at the end of the round I closed with 1pd, cut the yarn and started to hide all the strands.

• Con el hilo azul 💙 y la aguja lanera fijé el alfiler a la parte de atrás de la escarapela enganchando el hilo sobre el tejido azul.
• La franja recién tejida la convertí con un doblés en forma de V invertida y lo cosí por la parte de atrás de la escarapela, igualmente enganchando las puntadas sobre el tejido azul 💙.

• With the blue yarn 💙 and the wool needle I attached the pin to the back of the cockade by hooking the yarn over the blue fabric.
• The newly knitted fringe I turned it with an inverted V-shaped fold and sewed it to the back of the cockade, likewise hooking the stitches over the blue fabric 💙.

🇳🇮 Se ve muy bonita esta insignia o escarapela del país hermano Argentina. ¿Qué les pareció? A mí me gustó mucho tejerla y aprender más sobre este símbolo y la importancia que tiene para los argentinos.
