Espero que estén teniendo un día lleno de inspiración y creatividad. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una manualidad muy especial: una planta carnívora inspirada en el videojuego Mario Bros, reinterpretada con algunos ligeros cambios y llevada a mi propio estilo artesanal.
Es un proyecto ideal para quienes disfrutan crear personajes icónicos, darles un giro personal y ver cómo cobran vida a través del trabajo hecho a mano.

I hope you’re having a day full of inspiration and creativity. Today I’d like to share with you a very special handmade piece: a carnivorous plant inspired by the Mario Bros video game, reinterpreted with a few subtle changes and brought to life in my own handmade style.
It’s a perfect project for those who enjoy recreating iconic characters, adding a personal twist, and watching them come alive through handcrafted work.

Next, I'll show you step by step how I made my project. I'll start by displaying the materials.
MATERIALES/ MATERIALS
Step / Paso 1
Comienza creando una esfera de color rojo para la cabeza. Luego, usa una herramienta para realizar un corte en el centro de la esfera y ábrelo ligeramente para formar la boca. Cubre todo el borde de la boca con color blanco para simular los labios. A continuación, crea una lengua fina y alargada y colócala desde el centro de la boca hacia un lateral, de forma que sobresalga ligeramente. Después, coloca pequeños conos blancos alrededor de la boca para representar los dientes afilados. Usa triángulos verdes y colócalos desde la parte superior de la cabeza hasta la parte trasera para formar una pequeña cresta de hojas. Finalmente, añade puntos blancos alrededor de la cabeza.
Start by creating a red sphere for the head. Then, use a tool to make a cut at the center of the sphere and open it slightly to form the mouth. Cover the entire edge of the mouth with white to simulate the lips. Next, create a thin, elongated tongue and place it from the center of the mouth toward one side, making it slightly protrude. Afterward, place small white cones around the mouth to represent the sharp teeth. Use green triangles and position them from the top of the head to the back to form a small crest of leaves. Finally, add white spots around the head.

Step / Paso 2
Continúa con la base. Toma una tira de foami verde para crear el cilindro que formará la tubería o cañería. Con una tira más fina, haz un pequeño borde en la parte superior. Luego, usa foami negro para crear un círculo que cubra la parte superior del cilindro. Finalmente, con foami moldeable verde, forma un pequeño tallo y añade una hoja a cada lado. Pega este tallo a la base y deja secar antes de añadir la cabeza, para evitar que el peso de esta deforme o rompa el tallo.
Continue with the base. Take a strip of green foam to create the cylinder that will form the pipe or tubing. With a thinner strip, make a small border at the top. Then, use black foam to create a circle that will cover the top of the cylinder. Finally, with moldable green foam, shape a small stem and add a leaf on each side. Attach the stem to the base and let it dry before adding the head, to prevent the weight of the head from deforming or breaking the stem.

Resultado / Result
El diseño es basado en la planta del videojuego mario bros con algunos ligeros retoques personales, el proceso y fotografías, fue creado íntegramente por mí para este proyecto especial en foami.
The design is based on the plant from the Mario Bros video game, with some slight personal touches. The process and photographs were entirely created by me for this special foami project.
