Cómo hacer un marcalibro de gatito en papel [Esp/Eng]

Hola a todos 🌟 muy feliz de saludarlos nuevamente. Hace días me di cuenta que cada vez que quiero hacer un dibujo en mi cuaderno, me demoro encontrando la página donde me quedé, algo que podría resolver con un marcapáginas o también llamado marcalibro, el cual ayuda a encontrar rápidamente una página señalada en un cuaderno o libro. Me pareció una idea muy entretenida de realizar así que puse manos a la obra y vengo a enseñarles cómo pueden hacer uno en forma de gato. Quería que fuera tierno y colorido así que también le di toques de color con lápices y marcadores. Acompañenme en este proceso.📸

A few days ago, I realized that every time I want to draw in my notebook, I spend time trying to find the page where I left off, something that could be solved with a bookmark, also known as a page marker, which helps you quickly find a marked page in a notebook or book. I thought it would be a fun idea to make one, so I got to work and now I'm here to show you how to make a cat-shaped bookmark. I wanted it to be cute and colorful, so I added touches of color with pencils and markers. Join me in this process.📸

Los materiales que utilicé fueron: una hoja blanca, lápiz, tijera y colores o marcadores para colorear.

The materials I used were: a white sheet of paper, pencil, scissors, and colored pencils or markers to decorate.

Paso 1:

Lo primero que hice fue recortar la hoja en forma de cuadrado, ya que para este marcalibro vamos a utilizar un cuadrado para comenzar con el trabajo en el papel. Después, en forma diagonal, doblé el cuadrado por la mitad, y de igual manera hacia la otra dirección. Quedando una equis con los dobleces.

Step 1:
First, I cut the sheet into a square, since for this bookmark we’ll start with a square to begin working on the paper. Then, diagonally, I folded the square in half, and again in the opposite direction, forming an X with the creases.

Paso 2:

Dobla la hoja a la mitad en forma horizontal y posteriormente en vertical también a la mitad en partes iguales. Como resultados quedarán los dobleces algo así como en una forma de asterisco. Teniendo esta guía, vamos a doblar por los lados y nos quedaría un rombo.

Step 2:
Fold the sheet in half horizontally and then vertically, also in equal parts. The result will be creases that look like an asterisk. Using this guide, we’ll fold along the sides and end up with a diamond shape.

Paso 3:

Da la vuelta al rombo y dobla a la mitad hacia abajo como se muestra en la imagen. Después igualmente baja la solapa de cada lado y aplasta quedando un rombo de cada lado, que luego los doblaremos hacia arriba.

Step 3:
Flip the diamond over and fold it in half downward as shown in the image. Then, fold down each flap on the sides and press them flat, forming a diamond on each side, which we’ll later fold upward.

Paso 4:

Tomamos las esquinas de cada lado y traemos al centro, y luego siguiendo ese doblez irán hacia adentro. De la misma manera, trae los pequeños triángulos que quedaron a los lados hacia el centro y después hacia adentro.

Step 4:
Take the corners from each side and bring them to the center, then following that crease, fold them inward. Do the same with the small triangles that remained on the sides, bring them to the center and then fold them inward.

Paso 5:

Por último, en la parte inferior, dobla un poco hacia arriba para que quede como un pequeño triángulo, que luego se dobla hacia la parte de adentro, quedando ya listo nuestro marcalibro de papel para darle color y dejar volar nuestra creatividad.

Step 5:
Finally, at the bottom, fold a small part upward to form a little triangle, which is then folded inward. Now our paper bookmark is ready to be colored and to let our creativity fly.

Paso 6: 🖍

Aquí puedes dibujar tu gatito a tu gusto. En mi caso con el lápiz hice el boceto de lo que quería. Primero marqué las cosas básicas de la cara como nariz, ojos y orejas, para seguidamente añadir los detalles que yo quería como manchitas en su pelaje, patitas y mi nombre para personalizar el marcapáginas.

Step 6:
Here you can draw your kitty however you like. In my case, I sketched what I wanted with a pencil. First, I marked the basic parts of the face like the nose, eyes, and ears, then added the details I wanted like spots on its fur, little paws, and my name to personalize the bookmark.

Con marcadores, remarqué las líneas y después rellené con los colores.

With markers, I outlined the lines and then filled them in with colors.

Así fue como terminé mi marcalibro de gato. Mi parte favorita fue hacer el gatito como yo quisiera, en mi caso fue un gato marrón con manchitas más oscuras. Además, el lazo en su cuello fue mi parte favorita. Ahora cada vez que vaya a ver en qué parte me quedé de mi cuaderno de dibujos se me hará muchísimo más fácil y a la vez veré este bonito marcalibro que le da un toque de decoración. That’s how I finished my cat-shaped bookmark. My favorite part was designing the kitty just how I wanted, in my case, it was a brown cat with darker spots. Also, the bow on its neck was my favorite detail. Now, every time I check where I left off in my drawing notebook, it’ll be much easier and I’ll get to see this cute bookmark that adds a decorative touch. I hope you liked it. Until next time. 💗📸
