Greetings to all members of this wonderful community in which we are able to share our ideas and creative solutions. This is one of the communities I enjoy the most but unfortunately this days I haven't been as active as I would like to. And well, after a couple of days I'm back again stopping by to share a very simple idea for this celebrations that are so loved but adults and kids alike. Lately I have been down with a cold and not feeling super well, but responsabilities don't stop so I have been dragging myself around like a zombie to get things done. This morning, after I dropped my daughter to school, I jumped to bed and thought of cheering myself up by doing some Halloween crafting, because in this house we love this festivities.
So today I will show you how to make some cute and easy bat shaped bows, so we only need:
- Silicone based glue.
- Scissors.
- Marker.
- Paper.
- Hair clip or barrett.
- Material of our choice (I'm using some leather scraps from old bags).
Un saludo a todos los miembros de esta maravillosa comunidad en la que compartimos nuestras ideas y soluciones creativas. Ésta es una de las comunidades que más disfruto aunque lamentablemente había estado un poco inactiva. Y bueno, luego de un par de días me encuentro de nuevo por acá para compartir una idea sencilla para estás celebraciones tan amadas por grandes y chicos.
Últimamente he estado un poco resfriada y con malestar general, pero las responsabilidades continúan así que he tenido que arrastrarme cómo zombie para lograr hacer mis cosas. Ésta mañana, luego de haber dejado a mi hija en la escuela, me lancé en la cama y pensé en animarme un poco a mi misma haciendo manualidades de halloween, porque en esta casa amamos estas fechas.
Así que hoy les mostraré como hacer unos lazos de murciélago súper sencillos, para esto vamos a necesitar:
- Pegamento a base de silicón.
- Tijeras.
- Marcador.
- Papel.
- Gancho para el cabello.
- Material de preferencia. (Yo utilicé retazos de cuero de viejas carteras).
The first step is to make a template with our design, it is very easy to make, we'll just have to keep in mind the size of our material so it fits perfectly. We fold the paper in half and trace the half of a bat like this:
Lo primero que haremos será elaborar una plantilla con el diseño, es sumamente fácil de hacer, solo debemos tener en cuenta el tamaño del material que utilizaremos para que encaje perfectamente. Para ésto doblaremos el papel a la mitad y trazamos la mitad de un murciélago de ésta manera:
Now we cut out the shape, and additionally we cut a strip of the same material so we can place it in the middle later.
Ahora vamos a recortar la forma, y adicionalmente cortaremos una tira del mismo material que será ubicada en el centro del lazo.
Now we trace the template on the back of the material and cut it out.
Trazamos la plantilla sobre la parte posterior del material y recortamos.
Now we fold until we find a way we like, and we fix with glue, we can use pins to hold it in place until it is completely dry.
Ahora doblamos hasta encontrar la manera que nos agrade más y fijamos con el pegamento, podemos sostener con alfileres para que no pierda la forma mientras seca por completo.
Now it's time to glue the middle strip and let dry very well, we don't have to worry about silicone residues because they are very easy to peel off later.
Ahora vamos a proceder a pegar la cinta del medio y dejamos secar por completo, no hay que preocuparse por residuos de pegamento pues al ser silicón se puede pelar muy fácilmente.
We proceed to glue the bow on the barret or hair clip, pressing firmly on the wings so they adhere evenly. At this point we are done.
Procedemos a pegar el gancho de cabello, presionando firmemente hacia atrás las alas para que se adhiera uniformemente al gancho. En este momento ya estará listo.
After finishing y decided to add some bling, so I took some bow shaped nail art aplique and glue it on the center, and with some holographic glitter nail polish I applied a coat over the leather to add shine, because the gray leather was too opaque and had some dents, and I knew my daughter would love some shine, and the results are amazing.
Luego de finalizar decidí que le colocaría algo más, así que tome un aplique para uñas en forma de lazo y lo pegué en el centro, y con esmalte escarchado le di una buena mano para agregar algo de brillo pues el cuero gris tenía imperfecciones y estaba muy opaco, y se que a mí hija le gustaría con más brillo, y el resultado fue espectacular.
I made two more with pink leather and they were my daughter's undisputed faves, me both really liked how they turned out. The coolest thing is this bows can be done with endless materials and if we take out the hair clips they can be used to decorate anything, even as gift bows. We can also add some string to make them hang. They're very versatile and I'll be making a bunch of tiny little bats on Christmas too.
Hice dos ganchos más pequeños con cuero rosa que fueron los favoritos indiscutiblemente, a ambas nos gustó mucho como quedaron. Lo genial es que se pueden hacer de un sin fin de materiales y si omitimos el gancho sirven para decorar muchas cosas más, como lazo para un regalo. También podemos añadir un cordón y hacerlos colgar. Son muy versátiles, así que en estás navidades estaré haciendo un montón de pequeños murciélagos también.
