Hello to all my Hive friends... đą
We continue to live through quite delicate times in my country, Venezuela. A few days ago, I created a piece dedicated to my country, and today I wanted to create another beautiful piece for all of you, thinking that our beautiful nation will flourish very soon!!!
Here are the step-by-step instructions for a flower-shaped pendant with the tricolor of the Venezuelan flag, made in 3D using the quilling technique.
Hoping you like it, I leave you my creative process:
Let's get started:đ
⢠Pincel.
⢠Tijera.
⢠Colgante de tu preferencia.
⢠Quilling strips.
⢠Quilling needle.
⢠Jewelry rings.
⢠Extra-strong white glue (carpentry glue).
⢠Paintbrush.
⢠Scissors.
⢠Pendant of your choice.
⢠I started by taking red quilling tape, 4 mm wide. I took each strip, rolled it up with the needle until I reached the end, removed it from the needle, loosened it a little, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. We will need eight identical circles.
⢠I shaped these circles into drops, glued them together in groups of four, and then glued those two groups together to form the first flower.
⢠For the second flower, I took blue tape, this time 2 mm wide, and following the same steps as before, I made eight open circles that were smaller than the red ones.
Vamos a necesitar ocho cĂrculos iguales.
⢠I shaped these blue circles into diamonds, grouped them in fours, and finished by sticking these two groups together to form my second flower.
⢠For the third flower, I took 2 mm wide yellow ribbons and used them to make six open circles smaller than the blue ones.
⢠I shaped the yellow circles into teardrops, grouped them in threes, and then glued the two groups together to form the last flower. Now we have three flowers ready.
⢠I made a small pompom to place in the middle of the flower, using a 5mm wide metallic white ribbon. I made vertical cuts in it with scissors, then rolled it up with a needle, sealed it with glue, removed it from the needle, and separated it with my fingers to form the pompom.
⢠I proceeded to glue the three flowers together with extra-strong white glue and placed the pompom in the middle.
⢠To protect and harden the flower, I applied several coats of extra-strong white glue, allowing each coat to dry between applications.
⢠To finish, I placed a jewelry ring on top of the flower and attached the pendant of my choice.
This is how I finished this decorative flower inspired by the Venezuelan tricolor, using the quilling technique.
