Hey lovelies ā¤ļø
It's your favorite girl š
Welcome to my blog š¤
Now that the painting is all set I'm looking forward to the delivery of the 3D acrylic letter wall stickers that I ordered. Once it is delivered all I need is to place them in designated area in the middle.
The above paragraph was my concluding words in my post where I shared how I designed my shop space, so stay glued to your screen as I walk you through the concluding part of the post.
The 3D acrylic letter wall stickers was finally delivered after waiting for about four working working days. I had some challenges during this process which got me worried but I'm thankful that I had my package delivered at the end of it all. I didn't get a call from the delivery company as expected (they are supposed to notify me about the arrival of my package via text or phone call).
So, I had to reach out to the vendor to express my displeasure about the whole process, and I got a feedback after so many hours that they made a mistake on the last digit of my phone number. Well, after the whole series which I can't fully express how I felt in words my wall stickers are now in my possession.
I unboxed the package and verified that it was what I ordered that I got. Next, I placed them on a flat neat surface where I can arrange them to have an idea of the design I will be creating on the wall and also to make it easy to pick the letters one after the other without too much stress. I tried out different ways of setting up on the wall and after several trials I arrived at the one that I know is the best.
The stickers are sort of two in one, that is, there is a black non-shining sticker, then the gold platted sticker. This means that you have to place the black on the wall first, then place the gold on top of it. This is applicable to all the sixteen letters including the scissors sticker. Out of the sixteen letters, five are in italics and they are 20cm while the remaining are normal fonts and are 10cm.
In a bid to get an accurate placement where one font will not be floating up high than the other, I started by using a straight stick to rule a straight line which will serve as the base for each of the lines. Then to maintain an equal spacing I made use of three inches with the exception of the "BY". So, after drafting those measurements I begin to stick the stickers on the wall one after the other. It had to be done carefully so as not to make mistakes. Also, it was running late into the night and I had to use lamp as a source of light.
After I finished with the black stickers which served as the base, I proceeded to sticking the gold platted sticker on each of the letters again. While I was still sticking the black I was having a change of mind that I could have ordered for the black stickers because it was very beautiful on the white background. Well, the gold is also as beautiful. No regrets!
The whole process was fun and quite interesting. The tedious part of the whole work has been done before and it was time to play around with fonts.
As I took some steps backwards to have a look at the overall view of the space I realised how much difference the little design made to the space. The stickers gave the space a beautiful ambience and the purpose of creating it was fully established. I feel some sense of satisfaction that all my efforts have finally being rewarded and must say that the result exceeded my expectations.
Thanks for reading and see you in my next one.
