Hoy estaba revisando mi lugar feliz; así le digo yo a mi lugar de coser porque es donde se me olvida todo y fluyen las ideas, encontré un pedacito de tela de microdurazno que es como tipo peluche; yo, la verdad es que no me acuerdo para que fue que la use o que hice con ella porque en serio que no recuerdo pero los que conocen el microdurazno saben que es una tela bastante flexible que se adapta muy facil a todo el problema de ella no es su comodida, mayormente es lo incomodo que resulta coserla.
Después de darme mil vueltas en mi cabeza sobre que podía hacer, pensé en unas bandanas para el cabello, saben esas que usan las chicas bien cool para ir al gym, pero yo la quería realmente para estar en la casa y maquillarme correctamente sin que los cabellos se me vengan a la cara, así que es muy fácil, vamos por ella.
Today I was having a look around my happy place – that’s what I call my sewing corner because it’s where I forget everything and ideas just flow – and I found a little piece of micro-plush fabric, which is kind of like a soft toy; To be honest, I can’t remember what I used it for or what I did with it because I really can’t recall, but those who know micro-plush know it’s a fairly flexible fabric that adapts very easily to everything. The problem with it isn’t its comfort; it’s mainly how awkward it is to sew.
After mulling it over in my head a thousand times, I thought of some hair bandanas – you know, the ones those really cool girls wear to the gym. But I actually wanted one for wearing at home so I could apply my make-up properly without my hair getting in my face. So it’s very simple – let’s get on with it.
Así que saqué un rectángulo grande de 46 cm de largo y 23 cm de ancho. Este ancho lo vamos a dividir entre dos, que más o menos son 11 cm, ya que yo tampoco quería que fuera algo muy grueso.
So I cut out a large rectangle measuring 46 cm long and 23 cm wide. We’re going to halve that width, which comes to about 11 cm, as I didn’t want it to be too thick either.
Una vez que ya tenemos vamos a unirlo por ambas puntas y luego hacemos que nuestra costura quede en el centro para hacer la famosa tecnica samdwich, cabe destacar que la costura debe quedar por dentro y la parte derecha por fuera.
,Once we have that, we’ll join the two ends together and then position the seam in the centre to create the famous sandwich technique. It’s worth noting that the seam should be on the inside and the right side facing outwards.
Para hacer esta tecnica vamos a doblar toda la parte de arriba para que quede en el centro y la parte de abajo la vamos a unir para ir cosiendo y a medida que vamos cosiendo vamos sacando el que esta adentro y acomodando para coser.
To do this, we’re going to fold the top section over so that it sits in the centre, and we’ll join the bottom section as we sew; as we sew, we’ll pull out the inner layer and adjust it to make sure it’s positioned correctly.
Una vez que vamos cerrando van a ver el final porque se van a conseguir con la otra costura, aqui es importante que dejen un huequito muy pequeño por donde vamos a darle la vuelta y luego coceremos esa pequeña avertura a mano para que no se note, disculpen que elegi el hilo negro jajajaja esta tecnica se puede usar tambien para las colitas para el cabello.
As we’re finishing off, you’ll see the end because the two seams will meet; here it’s important to leave a tiny opening through which we’ll turn it inside out, and then we’ll sew that little opening up by hand so it’s not noticeable. Sorry I chose black thread, ha ha ha! This technique can also be used for hair ties.
Y asi de facil tenemos una bandana para el cabello que se puede usar para sostener nuestro cabello mientras nos maquillamos o para hacer ejercicios y pueden observar mi bella sobrina como modelo como le recoge todo su cabellito ¡Saludos!
And just like that, we’ve got a hair bandana that can be used to keep our hair out of the way whilst we’re putting on make-up or working out. Take a look at my lovely niece modelling it, with all her little hair tied back. Best wishes!
