Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos? ¿Cómo están todos? Espero que se encuentren muy bien; por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios, aunque no sé por qué extrañamente el día de ayer me estaba doliendo mi ojito y hoy extrañamente se me hinchó horriblemente, que en la mañana casi no podía ver, pero bueno, son detalles.
El día de hoy me puse creativa para hacer unos lazitos; tenía rato que no le hacía unos lazitos nuevos a Jade y dije: “Voy a inventar un ratico para olvidarme lo que me molestaba en el ojo; para esto necesité cinta, aguja e hilo, pega, ganchitos y un yesquero para quemar sus puntitas.
Hi there, how are you all? I hope you’re all doing well; everything’s fine here, thank goodness, although I don’t know why, strangely enough, my eye was hurting yesterday and today, strangely enough, it’s swollen up terribly—I could hardly see this morning—but anyway, these are just minor things.
Today I got creative and made some little bows; it had been a while since I’d made any new ones for Jade, so I said to myself, ‘I’m going to take a little while to take my mind off the discomfort in my eye.’ For this I needed ribbon, a needle and thread, glue, little clips and a lighter to singe the ends.
Inicié cortando cuatro pedazos de cinta grandesitos, los cuales calculé haciendo el círculo que quedaran acordes con el tamaño de la pinza; así mismo, corté dos para que sobresalieran un poquito tipo ramita y es muy importante que quememos las puntas en cada corte que hagamos en cinta.
I started by cutting four fairly large pieces of ribbon, which I measured out by drawing a circle to ensure they were the right size for the hair clip; I also cut two pieces so that they stuck out a little like twigs, and it’s very important to singe the ends of every piece of ribbon you cut.
Con las cuatro cintas del mismo tamaño vamos a hacer pequeños círculos y vamos a pegar, y todo lo que esto secaba, porque en mi casa usé silicona fría, tardó en pegar, así que mientras secaba, usé los pedazos largos para hacerles unos pequeños piquetes en las puntas y quemar.
Using the four strips of the same size, we’re going to make small circles and stick them down. Once everything had dried – because I used cold silicone at home, it took a while to set – I used the long pieces to make little notches at the ends and singe them.
El siguiente es el paso un poco más complicado; lo que vamos a hacer aquí es unir los círculos de frente y con una aguja vamos a coser por el medio. En esta parte debemos asegurarnos de apretar muy bien para que pueda quedar la forma deseada.
The next step is a bit trickier; what we’re going to do here is join the circles together at the front and sew down the middle with a needle. At this stage, we need to make sure we pull the stitches tight so that it takes on the desired shape.
Luego de que ya tenemos este paso vamos a forrar nuestra pinza y procedemos a medir en cruz las espiguitas junto con los lazitos y vamos a calcular como quedara en la pinza.
Now that we’ve completed this step, we’re going to cover our hair clip and measure the small tassels and bows diagonally to work out how they’ll look on the clip.
Por último para fijar vamos a unir con una cinta por el medio del lazito con nuestra pinza para fijarlos y que queden listos, aqui me van a disculpar porque admito que me distraje viendo la novela y me quedo uno un poco mas cerradito que el otro pero para mi quedaron bellos ¡saludos!
Finally, to secure them, we’ll tie a piece of ribbon through the middle of the bow using our hair clip to hold them in place and get them ready.
