I love some nice heels. I have a lot of those basic heels and I wanted to glam them up. I blogged my last project where I glammed up my heels with rhinestones all over the heels. It took me forever but it was really worth it. You can find the post HERE.
The best thing with the feather heels is: it doesn't take a lot of time. You only need a pair of heels, and a feather string that fits the color of the heels and a good fabric glue. Most people use the E6000. I ordered the feather string on ebay, but you can totally find it in other shops. But it's important that it's feathers on a string.
A basic heel is nice, but it's even better with some spiced up basics. And I love how these heels turned out. It's one of my favorite heels actually!
I can't wait for my next project, even tho I don't really know what that is. I don't have more heels I can glam up. But if I get an idea I will buy a pair of heels at a thrift shop. You don't need to buy them new, and if the project doesn't end well, you don't waste a lot of money.
Have you ever done some DIY project before?
I'm not that experienced in the DIY world, but I know the basics. I'm trying to learn to sew on a machine, and it wasn't that hard as I thought. I haven't sewed for a while, because I don't have enough fabric to try it out on. But I have sewed on buttons by hand, and I did open up stings by the bottom of my calf. I bought the jeans with a really short length, and I was thinking to donate them because of it. But I really loved the color and fabric, and I tried to not waste more clothes.
The worst thing about open up stings is that the stings shows way too much. I have to stretch them and use the iron to make it fade into the jeans. Have you any good advise on how to solve this? I washed them once just because I hoped it will fix the problem more. But it doesn't fade as much as I wanted. Both jeans are going to be fringed, because that's just making them look a little bit more rough. I guess I should try to spend more time stretching and use the iron.
Thank you so much for reading.
I also made a feather top. You can read about it here.
