Hoy traigo para ustedes una idea para recuerditos ya sea de nacimientos o baby shower, además conocerás cómo usar el envejecedor en aceite.

Estos recuerdos los puedes acompañar con dulces, en losa años 90's se acostumbraba a regalarlos con almendras en bolsitas de tela fina. Eran obsequios de gratitud por ir a visitar a un bebé que acaba de nacer o un bebé que viene en camino.

Me hace feliz retomar una de las pasiones que tanto me gustaban en años pasados, amo la pintura al frío y darle vida a piezas, explorar muchas técnicas y jugar con los colores.

Greetings, community!
Today I bring you an idea for souvenirs for births or baby showers, and you will also learn how to use the oil aging technique.
You can accompany these souvenirs with sweets. In the 1990s, it was customary to give them away with almonds in small cloth bags. They were gifts of gratitude for visiting a newborn baby or a baby on the way.
I am happy to return to one of the passions I loved so much in years past. I love cold painting and bringing pieces to life, exploring many techniques, and playing with colors.

Pintura al frío: Envejecedor en aceite / DIY - Cold painting: Oil-based aging agent

Paso a paso / Step by Step

Step 1️⃣/ Paso 1️⃣

Lija o lima ambas piezas para quitar algunas imperfecciones y porosidad. Como mis piezas son pequeñas uso una lima de uñas 100/180.

Como el envejecedor mancha mucho la pieza es lo primero que vamos a aplicar, para ello primero pintamos con pintura al frío normal el color base del cabello y la pieza de base.

Luego que seque la pintura base, aplicamos el envejecedor en aceite sobre él en capa generosa sin dejar secar.

Sand or file both pieces to remove any imperfections and porosity. As my pieces are small, I use a 100/180 nail file.
As the aging agent stains the piece a lot, it is the first thing we are going to apply. To do this, we first paint the base color of the hair and the base piece with normal cold paint.
Once the base paint has dried, apply a generous coat of oil-based aging agent without allowing it to dry.

Step 2️⃣/ paso 2️⃣

Sin dejar que el envejecedor en aceite seque, retira el exceso con un paño sin afincar mucho.

Repite el procedimiento con la base, esto hará que tenga un efecto amaderado.

Aplica el color piel en los lugares que corresponde. El color piel también es bueno para cubrir las manchas que deja el envejecedor.

Without letting the oil-based aging agent dry, remove the excess with a cloth without rubbing too hard.
Repeat the procedure with the base, this will give it a woody effect.
Apply the skin color to the appropriate areas. The skin color is also good for covering the marks left by the aging agent.

Step 3️⃣/ paso 3️⃣

Aplica colores pasteles para la vestimenta y colores un poco más vivos par ala pelota.

En las zonas más pequeñas o que requiera de mejor acabado, puedes usar el pincel cero o doble cero.

Para pintar las cejas, es recomendable usar el color que usaste para el cabello. Pinta las cejas y los ojos, para piezas pequeñas y bebés los ojos cerrados quedan más tiernos.

Use pastel colors for clothing and slightly brighter colors for the ball.
For smaller areas or areas that require a better finish, you can use a zero or double zero brush.
To paint the eyebrows, it is recommended to use the same color you used for the hair. Paint the eyebrows and eyes. For small pieces and babies, closed eyes look cuter.

Step 4️⃣/ paso 4️⃣

Luego que la pieza seque completamente aplica el barniz o el brillo al frío.

La base no es necesario aplicarle barniz porque el envejecedor aceite lo protege del agua y se puede limpiar el polvo sin problema.

Cuando la pieza seque, puedes aplicar pegamento en la base para fijarlo.

Once the piece is completely dry, apply the varnish or cold gloss.
It is not necessary to apply varnish to the base because the oil-based aging agent protects it from water and dust can be cleaned off without any problem.
When the piece is dry, you can apply glue to the base to secure it.
