He visto unos tutoriales donde recomiendan usar unas láminas de teflón especiales que soportan 300°C y que pueden ayudar de muchas maneras el la calidad del resultado de la sublimación, ya que cuando imprimimos en tela de franela con este tipo de tintas e impresoras, el diseño queda completamente mate. Según al usar el teflón, podríamos mejorar esto y evitar que se manche la plancha con tinta, yo usaba papel común.

Después de mostrar todo el proceso de elaboración, dejaré mis criterio al final, según mi experiencia.

Greetings to all!
I have seen some tutorials where they recommend using special Teflon sheets that withstand 300°C and that can help in many ways the quality of the sublimation result, since when we print on flannel fabric with this type of inks and printers, the design is completely matte. According to using Teflon, we could improve this and avoid staining the plate with ink, I used regular paper.
After showing the whole process of elaboration, I will leave my criteria at the end, according to my experience.

Paso a paso / Step by Step

Step 1️⃣/ Paso 1️⃣

Si imprimes en tela de franela (algodón) el diseño se verá mate - Es un punto para aclarar por qué se ve diferente de mis sublimimados en pañitos-

Este es uno de mis diseños, como elegí una franela de color gris claro quería que el diseño fuera monocromático. Además de poner a prueba otra cosa que diré más adelante.

Imprimimos el diseño, para ello uso el procesador de texto Word y en la opción de impresión colocas la opción espejo y la opción impresión de alta calidad - recomendado.

Una vez impreso el diseño, lo dejamos secar un poco.

If you print on flannel fabric (cotton) the design will look matte - just a point to clarify why it looks different from my sublimated wipes.
This is one of my designs, since I chose a light gray flannel I wanted the design to be monochromatic. Plus to test something else I'll say more about later.
We print the design, for this I use the word processor Word and in the print option you put the mirror option and the high quality print option - recommended.
Once the design is printed, we let it dry a little.

Step 2️⃣/ paso 2️⃣

Precaliento la plancha a 180°C mientras acomodo bien la franela en la prensa, que no quede arrugas en la tela. Coloco el diseño boca arriba para que el calor de la plancha quite algo de humedad si la tuviera, esto por unos segundos. Luego retiro la impresión y espero que la plancha llegue a la temperatura adecuada.

I preheat the iron to 180°C while I place the flannel in the press, so that there are no wrinkles in the fabric. I place the design face up so that the heat of the iron removes some moisture, if any, for a few seconds. Then I remove the print and wait for the iron to reach the right temperature.

Step 3️⃣/ paso 3️⃣

Coloco el diseño boca abajo, luego la lámina de teflón y cierro la prensa, la plancha está a una temperatura de 180°C y la debemos dejar por 60 segundos.

¿Por qué el teflón?

Según vi en los tutoriales, la grasa o parte brillante del teflón ayuda a que la impresión no quede tan mate después de todo.

Hasta ahora, no había visto el resultado...

I place the design face down, then the Teflon sheet and close the press, the iron is at a temperature of 180°C and we must leave it for 60 seconds.
Why Teflon?
According to what I saw in the tutorials, the grease or shiny part of the Teflon helps the print not to be so matte after all.
Until now, I had not seen the result...

Step 4️⃣/ paso 4️⃣

Noto cierto brillo en la pieza, pero no es gran cosa como pensé que quedaría, no sé si es la calidad de mi teflón.

Ahora la otra prueba...

Como sabrán, estas impresoras solo tienen los colores: negro, magenta, azul y amarillo, así que no va a imprimir en blanco, se me ocurrió comprar pintura para tela de color blanca y por lo menos pintar los ojos para hacerlo más llamativo.

Una vez que terminé de pintarlo a mano con un pincel, aproveché el calorcito de la plancha y lo puse allí para que seque más rápido la pieza.

Conclusión:

Hay una ligera diferencia en la impresión, es un poco más brillante con el teflón pero no cubrió mis expectativas, no sé si es la calidad de mi teflón.

La pintura de tela color blanca para las secciones requeridas queda estupenda.

I notice some shine on the piece, but it's not as great as I thought it would look, I don't know if it's the quality of my Teflon.

Now for the other test...

As you may know, these printers only have the colors: black, magenta, blue and yellow, so it's not going to print in white, it occurred to me to buy white fabric paint and at least paint the eyes to make it more eye-catching.

Once I finished painting it by hand with a brush, I took advantage of the little heat of the iron and put it there to dry the piece faster.

Conclusion:

There is a slight difference in the print, it is a little brighter with Teflon but it didn't meet my expectations, I don't know if it's the quality of my Teflon.

The white fabric paint for the required sections looks great.
