My thing is the kitchen, numbers and at most try to make some good pictures, but without fear of being wrong, crafts are not my thing at all, my patience and little manual dexterity, does not let me do something that is to my liking, and if we leave the fact that my imagination for such activities is quite limited, I could only go to YouTube for some tutorials to find something easy enough for me to cheer up hahaha.
After watching some videos I already had an idea of what we could do and that it was also something that Mathias could help with, because this is a job for his school, however, I wanted to share it with you, because I thought it was a very easy and useful idea for the little ones, in which they can participate, and in this way encourage their imagination and motor skills. As soon as we made the decision of what we would do, Mathias ran out looking for the materials, and was giving me ideas of what he wanted to do with his truck to load sand, to tell the truth, he wanted a crane type truck, but I thought it was too much, probably later I will do it with him.
We made this idea with empty boxes of graphite pencils, which are boxes about 5 centimeters wide by about 18 long and with a height of about 1 centimeter, for which we used plastic caps of soft drinks as wheels, they are perfect to make this truck look with good tires, to paint we used school tempera, and the details were placed with some things we had in the kitchen, but, join me and I'll show you what we did here, Mathias and me.
The first thing I did was to take measurements of the pencil boxes, to calculate the dimensions of the truck, we decided to use a whole box as a base and the other cut it into two parts, a first part of 6 centimeters long, which would serve as the base for the driver's cab, which we complemented with a small box of medicines that we cut on one side of 3 centimeters and the other of 3. 5 centimeters, to give us the inclination that would make us then the windshield of the truck, these three parts we glued them with a little silicone or hot glue, I found this option better for the fast drying.
Once the top of the truck was placed we proceeded with the wheels, to make our truck really roll we placed some straws/sorbets/straws, cut to the width of the pencil box and fixed them with hot silicone, for the wheels, with the help of a soldering iron I drilled them in the center of each one. Mathias put teipe or electrical tape on all the lids and with a toothpick cut about 5 millimeters longer than the width of the base box, we placed them in the holes of the lids, and fixed them with another bit of silicone, passed the toothpick through the straw and placed the other lid on the opposite end. we repeated the action with all the lids.
In theory we already have the truck assembled, now we just have to add paint, for this we add a base coat of white tempera, let dry and continue with about 3 coats of colored tempera, letting dry well between coats, for the details of the lights use a package of pills or blister where you add a touch of paint and fill with silicone to fix them in their positions. For the rear view mirror a piece of aluminum foil fixed in the place where the mirrors go, and for the detail of the glasses, Mathias drew the driver driving, to simulate the radiator of the truck, a piece of cardboard where the bar codes are, it's perfect, and we filled the back of the truck with crepe paper balls.
Mathias is fascinated with his truck, but I have hidden it from him until it is time to take it to school hahahaha, because knowing his background it is very likely that he will not make it to his presentation. This has been a somewhat stressful experience, because Mathias is more impatient than me, and wanted to do almost everything himself, and the handling of scissors and hot silicone gun, is not something he could do, however, we have achieved the task and I feel satisfied with the joyful face of my little boy. Hola a todos los amantes de las manualidades y cosas hermosas que hacen en esta comunidad, espero estén teniendo un excelente fin de semana, por mi parte, me toco hacer la tarea con mi hijo, le pidieron que hiciera o bien un animal, una planta o una cosa con materiales reciclables o de provecho, y cuando le pregunte que quería hacer, de inmediato me dijo que quería hacer un carro, o mejor un camión, palabras textuales de mi Mathias. Lo mío es la cocina, los números y cuando mucho intentar hacer unas buenas fotografías, pero sin temor a equivocarme, las manualidades no son para nada lo mío, mi paciencia y poca destreza manual, no me deja hacer algo que sea de mi agrado, y si a eso le dejamos el hecho de que mi imaginación para este tipo de actividades es bastante limitada, solo me quedaba ir a YouTube por algunos tutoriales hasta encontrar algo lo suficientemente fácil como para yo animarme jajaja.
Luego de ver algunos videos ya tenía una idea de lo que podíamos hacer y que además fuera algo en lo que Mathias pudiera ayudar, pues este es un trabajo para su colegio, sin embargo, quise compartirlo con ustedes, ya que me pareció una idea muy fácil y útil para los más pequeños, en la que ellos pueden participar, y de esta manera incentivar un poco su imaginación y motricidad. Apenas tomamos la decisión de lo que haríamos, Mathias salió corriendo en busca de los materiales, y me iba dando ideas de lo que el quería hacer con su camión para cargar arena, a decir verdad el quería un camión tipo grúa, pero me pareció como mucho, probablemente más adelante me anime a hacerlo con él.
Esta idea la hicimos con cajas vacías de lápices de grafito, que son cajas de unos 5 centímetros de ancho por unos 18 de largo y con una altura de aproximadamente 1 centímetro, para lo que utilizamos tapas plásticas de refrescos como ruedas, quedan perfectas para hacer ver este camión con unas buenas llantas, para pintar utilizamos tempera escolar, y los detalles los fuimos colocando con algunas cosas que teníamos en la cocina, pero, acompáñame y te muestro que fue lo que hicimos aquí, Mathias y yo.
Lo primero que hice fue tomar medidas de las cajas de lápices, para calcular las dimensiones del camión, decidimos utilizar una caja entera como base y la otra la cortamos en dos partes, una primera parte de 6 centímetros de largo, que nos serviría como la base para la cabina del conductor, misma que complementamos con una cajita de medicamentos que cortamos en un lado de 3 centímetros y en el otro de 3.5 centímetros, para darnos la inclinación que nos haría luego el parabrisas del camión, estas tres partes las pegamos con un poco de silicón o pegamento caliente, me pareció mejor esta opción por el secado rápido.
Una vez colocada la parte de arriba del camión procedimos con las ruedas, para que nuestro camión ruede de verdad colocamos unos pitillos/sorbetes/pajillas, cortados a la medida del ancho de la caja de lápices y los fije con silicón caliente, para las ruedas, con ayuda de un cautín los perfore en el centro de cada una. Mathias le coloco teipe o cinta de electricidad a todas las tapas y con un palillo de altura o de brochetas cortado unos 5 milímetros más largo que el ancho de la caja base, los colocamos en los orificios de las tapas, y fijamos con otro poco de silicón, pasamos el palillo por el pitillo y colocamos la otra tapa en el extremo contrario. repetimos la acción con todas las tapas.
En teoría ya tenemos el camión armado, ya solo nos queda agregar pintura, para ello le agregamos una capa base de tempera blanca, dejamos secar y continuamos con unas 3 capas de tempera de color, dejando secar bien entre capa y capa, para los detalles de las luces utilice un empaque de pastillas o blíster en donde le agregue un toque de pintura y llene con silicón para fijarlos en sus posiciones. para el retrovisor un trozo de papel de aluminio fijado en el lugar donde van los retrovisores, y para el detalle de los vidrios, Mathias dibujo al chofer manejando, para simular el radiador del camión, un pedacito de cartón en donde están los códigos de barras, es perfecto, y llenamos la parte trasera del camión con bolitas de papel crepé.
Mathias está fascinado con su camión, pero se lo he escondido hasta que sea el momento de llevarlo al colegio jajajaja, porque conociendo sus antecedentes es muy probable que no llegue a su presentación. Esta ha sido una experiencia un tanto estresante, pues Mathias es más impaciente que yo, y quería hacer casi todo el, y el manejo de tijeras y pistola caliente de silicón, no es algo que el pudiera hacer, sin embargo, hemos logrado el cometido y me siento satisfecha con la cara de alegría de mi pequeño. Y ustedes, ¿Que opinan del camión de Mathias?
