Hi friends of this creative community. I hope that you all may be doing well all this week. I am doing well too. I am not usual here because I am used to have busy days, even in vacations, but I really enjoy making handmade things and handicrafts.
My little cousin is an intelligent boy. He is really smart! Sometimes he mispronounce some words and he looks cute when this, but he has a great imagination.
Here with him as Spiderman
Yesterday he told me that he wanted a dreams catcher for his room and told me that he had a big ring for me. I smiled at him and promised him that today I will give it it to him. A beautiful drea catcher!
My intention is share the "step by step" of how I made it.
The materials were:
- a big ring
- a long yarn of your favorite colors
- scissors
- liquid silicone
- foam sheets
- small beads
- a black permanent marker
First you should round the ring with a long yarn and cover it.
After that you should use another yarn to make a pattern inside. It should looks like this
Later you should put three more yarns in the part below. The middle yarn must be longest that the ones in the extreme parts.
I selected some of my favorite beads with colors equivalent to the yarn's colors (in this case white, light blue, black and red) and put them into the three yarns as decorations. Now it looks like this
Finally I drew a moon, a cloud and a blue bear in foam sheets to put them as decorations too in the dreams catcher. I drew the bear's face with a black permanent marker.
And this is the final result!
I did my best here. This is not the first one that I do, but it is one of the most beautiful that I have ever made (maybe because "practice makes perfect" ). I have made small ones too, with bracelets that do not fits me and nobody at home.
I had a great time while doing it. I started at 10am and finished at 2pm. I did not noticed the warm temperatures during that time.
When sunset, I will go to his house and will give him the surprise. And I will tell him: I promised this and here you have it and I will love his happy face.
Thanks for reading.
With love: Vicky ❤️
