Good morning to all my friends and love ones.
It's another beautiful weekend, alot of people see weekend as a day to rest and be with there probably some family go for an weekend holiday which they have fun with there family or love once.
Actually my post is not a weekend outing but will base on why people go for a cheaper things rather than things of high cost. When we look at an handmade as a craft work,it is very reliable and dictating for any client dictate how he or she want his or palm to look like.
Unfortunately the price will be lesser because it is an home made rather than footwear made outside the country.Imagine an outside made footwear bought at a high price and a Nigeria shoecobbler will make it at a lower price with even better quality of leathers meanwhile some clients will be attracted with the packaging of the footwear. The making of the palm is as follow with steps with materials
MATERIAL
Foreign sole
Marko 6
cotton material
Weaving upper material
THE MAKING
Step one
Cut out your Marko 6 using the sole and hit with hammer to bring the shape out then cut with a scissors.Next is to make the insole and apply gum to the marko 6 and the cotton material before applying gum to the Marko and leather.
STEP TWO
Lasting step
Apply gum to the insole and the weaving material then apply gum to the upper and the insole then use your wooden last to set to client size
STEP THREE
Finishing step
This is the latter stage of the making of the weaving palm which we will apply gum to both the foreign sole and the upper lasted then gum together when dry.
NOW THE FOOTWEAR IS READY TO WEAR FOR A CLIENT WHO WANT AN AFFORDABLE PALM OF HIGH QUALITY LEATHER WORDS
