IMPORTANT OF GUM IN SHOEMAKING ///WEAVING PALM MAKING ON A POOR WEATHER CONDITION

good evening everyone on this hive community,I hope everyone are enjoying there day,Its a cold weather here in Nigeria which it have been raining for hour and a client needed to collect the palm before dawn,The clue and the main aim to focus in Making of palm Is the gumming aspect which is the largely procedure in making of the palm.

IMPORTANT OF GUM IN SHOEMAKING
A shoe can not be completed without the use of gum in crafting a particular footwear,gum is one of the important of making shoe even i can call it the most wanted instrument used to achieve your aim.
There are different types of gum used in making shoe which each one have its own functions but we are not going further to explain there functions.

1. Top gum
2. OCI gum
3. Chemical gum
4. Alteco glue
   CAUSES OF IMPROPER GUMMING
   Alot of customer do complain about improper gumming of shoe and won't take a long period before it get spoilt.There are some terms use in making a shoe gum well---
5. Application of gum properly to the edges of your materials or sole
6. making use of a good gum
7. Applying your Alteco glue before gumming
8. Weather
   The post will be directed to weather effect in gum application to shoe.Rain started after just last step of making of the weaving palm.
   A GUM needed a sunny weather to make your material gum well and last longer before removing.
   I will like to show my fellow friends the brief process and how weather affect the final stage of the complete of the palm
   MATERIAL USED
   I weave a black upper for the footwear ( the weaving process will be shown in my next crafting post.
   Checker foreign sole
   Marko 4
   Black linen
   PROCESS
   I start by using the sole to cut out my Marko 4 and linen with my black linen materials

The upper have already weaved
I will proceed to the lasting using my last 43 for proper straighten of client feet.Appy gum to the edges of the weaved materials and insole,them gum together.

Final step of completion of the palm
NOW RAIN START
We need to apply gum to the upper/insole and the checker sole but after applying gum twice the gum is not gumming properly which I needed to wait till the rain stop because gum loves a sunny weather.
It causes delay but when the rain stop I apply the gum and it WORKS!!!

Now I can now deliver the footwear after a delay in the making because of raining weather.
