Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad de DIY ✨. Esta es mi primera publicación aquí y aunque no soy una experta con las manualidades, hoy deseo compartirles el Mandala que esconde un mensaje para Diana (
Un Mandala en diseño floral de 12 pétalos es la “carta” que hoy deseo compartirles y lo elegí porque viendo en Pinterest manualidades que conectaban con el mensaje que deseo transmitir, vi unas flores que estaban siendo pintadas, sin embargo, sentí que eran un poco rígidas, y yo quise recrearlas en un Mandala y por supuesto, con curvas para darle más suavidad y delicadeza a lo que es el concepto de la flor y el mensaje que esta esconde. 🌸
Los materiales que utilicé para elaborarlo son los siguientes:
📄1 hoja blanca, tamaño carta.
🧭1 compás.
🖊1 marcador gris para repasar todo el diseño que se elaboró con el compás.
🔍1 borrador para borrar todo el grafito del diseño que se realizó con el compás.
🎨 4 colores para colorear el Mandala: magenta (028), naranja (013), turquesa (061) y lila (038) de la marca Faber-Castell.
✂️ 1 tijera para recortar la el Mandala coloreado.
🖋 1 bolígrafo azul marino para escribir el mensaje detrás del Mandala.
También hay materiales que no aparecen en las fotos, pero que fueron claves para los detalles finales de esta carta, como lo son:
🕳1 abre huecos.
🧵 1 hilo semi grueso rosado.
Ya cuando hablamos de la creación de este Mandala procedí primero a hacer una cruz en el medio de la hoja, después con el compás hice un círculo relativamente grande (no medí el diámetro, sino que lo hice al ojo por ciento 😆), para luego hacer una cruz más larga que pasé por el centro del círculo. Luego de eso, utilicé el compás desde una de sus esquinas para hacerlo llegar al centro del círculo, para así hacer círculos desde las puntas de las esquinas hasta recrear los pétalos de la flor (me costó un poco porque el compás ya tiene sus años, pero lo logré jeje y lo bueno también era que tenía el marcador gris para remarcar las puntas de la flor y que así esta quedase muy linda).

Una vez ya remarcada la flor, borré los trazos del compás que quedaban con grafito sobre la hoja para si tener claridad y evitar que al colorear se alterasen los colores con el grafito.
Primero empecé por el centro para así extenderme a las puntas. Fue bastante relajante y agradable porque me emocionaba terminarlo y así poder plasmar el mensaje que quería que a través de esta publicación hacerle llegar a Diana, su pequeño y por supuesto a toda su familia (que son mis mejores deseos).
Y bueno, antes de continuar, deseo compartirles un dato supercurioso:
Pueden ver que el diseño del Mandala quedó muy bien, sin embargo, para llegar a este tuve que hacer más de tres intentos (o sea la tercera no fue la vencida jaja 😂), ya que había buscado otras ideas y cuando las plasmaba en grande quedaban sumamente mal, me costó muchísimo haber logrado este Mandala (porque antes trataba de inspirarme de ideas muy complejas), y bueno, no haber cambiado de idea con respecto a que fuese un Mandala, es algo que me contenta, ya que el mensaje es muy hermoso (porque realmente estaba a punto de cambiar de idea y hacer otra cosa que, tampoco tenía ni idea de qué sería, así que bueno, me enorgullece de esa parte jaja). ✨
Luego de terminar de colorear el Mandala, escribí un mensaje con el bolígrafo que tengo (en azul marino):
Como un Mándala, cada día trae nuevos colores de esperanza, así que mantén tu fe, porque la felicidad reinará en tu hogar.

Para así acompañar el mensaje con unas nubes creadas con dos de los colores que utilice para pintar el Mandala. Después de esto procedí a recortar el mandala con mucho cuidado, para así elegir una de las puntas del mismo y abrirle un hueco con el abre huecos (casi en el centro de este jeje).Así es como pude insertarle el hilo rosado (cerrando los extremos del hilo con un nudo). ¿El resultado? Un hermoso mensaje que más allá de ser una carta, puede ser utilizado para recordar nuestros espacios. 🎀
Estas palabras son las que deseo hacerle llegar a Diana, más allá de esta publicación que como todos, la escribimos con mucho cariño 💖, ya que sé que es una mujer fuerte y llena de amor para su hijo y dentro de esta circunstancia que tanto ella como su familia se encuentran viviendo yo tengo la seguridad de que esa fuerza que ella tiene, más todo nuestros buenos deseos le están permitiendo y le seguirán permitiendo alcanzar eso que ya está allí para ella, que es que su hijo esté con ella y con su familia… En su hogar. 🏡✨

This is my first post here, and even though I’m not an expert in crafts, today I want to share with you a Mandala that carries a special message for Diana (
I created a 12-petal floral Mandala as a “letter” I’d like to share with you all. I chose this design because while browsing Pinterest for craft ideas that resonated with my message, I came across some painted flowers. However, they felt a bit too rigid, and I wanted to recreate them in a Mandala—with soft curves to add more delicacy and fluidity to the concept of the flower and the message it carries. 🌸
Materials I used to create it:
📄 1 white letter-sized sheet of paper.
🧭 1 compass.
🖊 1 gray marker to outline the design traced with the compass.
🔍 1 eraser to remove all graphite lines from the initial sketch.
🎨 4 colors to paint the Mandala: magenta (028), orange (013), turquoise (061), and lilac (038) from the brand Faber-Castell.
✂️ 1 pair of scissors to cut out the colored Mandala.
🖋 1 navy blue pen to write the message on the back of the Mandala.
Some additional materials (not pictured) that were essential for the final details:
🕳 1 hole punch.
🧵 1 semi-thick pink thread.
How I created the Mandala:
First, I drew a cross in the middle of the page. Then, I used the compass to draw a relatively large circle (I didn’t measure the diameter—I just eyeballed it 😆). After that, I extended the cross through the center of the circle.
Using one corner as a reference, I adjusted the compass to reach the center of the circle, creating a pattern of smaller circles that formed the flower petals. 🌺 (It was a bit tricky because my compass is old, but I made it work! 😂 Plus, the gray marker helped me highlight the flower’s edges and make it look even prettier).

Once the outline was done, I erased the remaining graphite lines to ensure the colors wouldn’t mix with the pencil marks.
I started coloring from the center outward. The process was so relaxing and fulfilling—I was excited to finish and share this message with Diana, her little one, and of course, her entire family. 💕
A fun fact about this Mandala:
Although the final design looks great, it actually took me more than three attempts to get it right (yep, third time wasn’t the charm! 😂). I initially tried more complex ideas, but they didn’t work when scaled up. I almost gave up and considered doing something entirely different (with no idea what!), but I’m glad I stuck with the Mandala because the message behind it is truly special. ✨
The final touch:
After coloring the Mandala, I wrote this message in navy blue ink:
"Like a Mandala, each day brings new colors of hope. Keep your faith, because happiness will reign in your home."

This way, I could pair the message with some clouds made using two of the colors I used to paint the Mandala. After that, I carefully cut out the mandala, choosing one of its points to punch a hole in it (almost in the center, hehe). That’s how I was able to insert the pink thread, securing the ends with a knot. The result? A beautiful message that, beyond being just a letter, can also be used as a way to remember our special spaces. 🎀
The result? A heartfelt piece that is more than just a letter—it can be used as a beautiful keepsake to bring warmth to any space.
These words are my gift to Diana—not just through this post but as a sincere gesture of support. 💖 I know she is a strong woman filled with love for her son, and despite everything her family is going through, I’m sure that her strength, along with all our good wishes, will continue guiding her toward that beautiful outcome she deserves: having her son safe and sound at home with her family. 🏡✨
