Candy box with cup holder [ENG/ESP]

Creative friends, it’s a pleasure to share with you again. As we all know, editable templates created in CANVA are all the rage right now—whether for making boxes, party favors, decorative frames, or anything else. As I said, I’m always looking to learn a little bit of everything, from the art of cooking to the world of creative stationery.

Today I want to share this little project I learned to make recently. I printed it out to put it together myself and test whether the template was well-designed. And yes, this is definitely an art form—I loved the result! However, I realize I need to practice a lot when it comes to cutting and pasting, but hey, that’s just another thing to add to my list of things to learn.

Now let’s see how I did it. Here are the materials I used:

Tools:

• Design printed on photo paper
• Scissors
• Silicone stick
• Hot glue gun
• Ruler

Process:

The first thing I did was, obviously, create my template in CANVA. To do this, I looked for a tutorial and followed the steps, taking each measurement for every part. My idea was to make a template for a candy box that includes a cup holder. I saw this design on Facebook, and it’s in high demand, especially for Children’s Day 👇

It’s worth noting that for the design of this cup holder box, I used two A4-sized sheets of paper. One sheet is for the front and back of the box, and the other is for the base, along with the part where the cup will go.

As you can see, I’ve already printed them out here. Since I don’t have a printer, I have to go to an internet café. 😌

Now that we have our image printed, we’ll proceed to cut it out. As I mentioned, this part is crucial—you need a steady hand to cut precisely to the measurements. Here’s how it turned out.👇

Now this part is a little more tedious; this is where we have to assemble it, gluing the flaps precisely on each side. First, we start with the front part, the face of the glass.👇

Next, we’ll attach it to the base, so it looks like this, connecting it to the back of the box, of course.👇

Here you can glue the acetate to the window side; I didn’t have any, so I left it like this, but it’s highly recommended, since that’s where the candy would go.

Now all that’s left is to attach it to the side of the cup holder, along with the side of the box.

It’s definitely a nice design. This template is editable, and you can modify and customize it. I love creating, and I’m definitely learning—this is a real art form. And even though many people see it as something simple, it’s not. It requires effort, dedication, but above all, creativity—and that’s something not many people appreciate. This work is worth it, because not everyone has the time to design and create these files.

So, friends, we need to know how to value things—our work and our time, all of that.

SPANISH VERSION

Amigos creativos, un gusto compartir con ustedes nuevamente, como bien sabemos, ahorita esta de modas muchas plantillas editables, creadas en CANVA, ya sea para armar cajas, cotillones, cuadros decorativos, en fin, como dije, yo sigo buscando aprender de todo un poco, entre el arte de la cocina y el mundo de la papelería creativa.

Hoy quiero compartirles este modelito que aprendi hacer hace poco, el cual lo imprimi, para armarlo yo misma, y probar que la plantilla esta bien hecha, y si definitivamente,esto es todo un arte, ame el resultado, sin embargo, me doy cuenta que debo practicar bastante, al momento del corte y pegado, pero bueno, esto es otro mas a la lista de aprendizajes.

Veamos ahora como lo hice, les cuento que los materiales que use fueron:

Herramientas:

• Diseño impreso en papel fotográfico
• Tijeras
• Silicon en barra
• Pistola de silicón
• Regla

Proceso:

Lo primero que hice fue obviamente crear mi plantilla en CANVA, para ello, busque un tutorial, el cual fui realizando los paso, con cada medida, para cada parte, mi idea era hacer la plantilla de una caja de golosinas, la cual incluye un portavasos, este diseño lo he visto en Facebook, el cual solicitan mucho, sobre todo para el día del niño 👇

Cabe señalar que para el diseño de esta caja portavasos, se uso dos hojas tamaño A4, ya que una hoja tendremos la parte de la cara y el lado reverso de la caja, y en la otra la base, junto con la parte donde ira el vaso.

Como ven aquí ya las imprimí, como yo no tengo impresora, me toca ir a un cyber. 😌

Ya con nuestra imagen impresa, procedemos a recortar, esta parte como les mencione es fundamental, hay que tener buen pulso, para cortar con exactitud las medidas., así me quedo.👇

Ahora esta parte es un poco mas engorrosa, es donde debemos hacer el armado, pegar las pestañas, con exactitud en cada lado, primero comenzamos con la parte frontal, la cara del vaso.👇

Luego lo vamos a unir con la base, quedando de esta manera, uniéndolo por su puesto con la parte trasera de la caja.👇

Aquí pueden pegarle el acetato en el lado de la ventana, yo no tenia, por lo que deje así, sin embargo, es lo mas recomendable, ya que en esa parte irían las golosinas.

Ya solo queda unirlo con el lado del portavasos, junto con la parte lateral de la caja.

Y así nos queda nuestra cajita, que tal.

Sin duda un bonito diseño, esta plantilla es editable, y se puede modificar y personalizar, me gusta crear, y sin duda aprender, esto es todo un arte, y aunque muchos lo ven como algo sencillo, no lo es, requiere esfuerzo, dedicación, pero sobre todo creatividad, y eso es algo que no muchos valoran., esté trabajo vale, porque no todos tienen el tiempo para diseñar y crear estos archivos.

Entonces amigos, hay que saber valorar las cosas, nuestro trabajo y tiempo, todo eso.
