Saludos, en esta ocasión les comparto un joyero que hice para mi mamá, utilice materiales reciclados de diferentes cosas y también restos de materiales de otros proyectos, me inspire en algunas manualidades que he visto en la web pada hacer lucir las cosas con un aspecto antiguo, así que puse manos a la obra y el resultado me gusto mucho, acá les comparto el paso a paso.
Greetings, this time I share a jewelry box that I made for my mother, I used recycled materials from different things and also remains of materials from other projects, I was inspired by some crafts that I have seen on the web to make things look like an old look, so I got to work and I really liked the result, here I share the step by step.

- Carton box
- Lace ribbon

- Piece of banner foil
- Old buttons and jewelry
- White glue
- Hot silicone
- Green paint
- Metallic cream paint
- Sponge

- Scissors and cutter

Procesos / Process
Yo usé un tubo de cartón que obtuve del interior de un hilo para tejer, pero pueden usar cualquier tipo de tubo de cartón o hacerlo ustedes mismo, tracé la circunferencia del tubo con un lápiz sobre el cartón de caja, corté el cartón con un cúter, apliqué pegamento blanco por los bordes y lo pegué colocando algo pesado sobre este hasta que se secara.
I used a cardboard tube that I obtained from the inside of a yarn to knit, but you can use any type of cardboard tube or do it yourself, I traced the circumference of the tube with a pencil on the cardboard box, I cut the cardboard with a box cutter , I applied white glue around the edges and glued it by placing something heavy on it until it was dry.
Con pega blanca pegué la cinta de encaje por todo el borde inferior, cuando estuvo seco con silicón caliente pequé el cordón igualmente por el borde inferior encima del encaje.
With white glue I glued the lace tape around the bottom edge, when it was dry with hot silicone I also hit the lace along the bottom edge above the lace.
Corté nuevamente en otro pedazo de cartón la circunferencia para obtener la tapa, tomé la lamina de pendón reciclado (pertenecía a un cartel publicitario viejo) y corté una tira de aproximadamente 1,5 centímetro de ancho, con silicón caliente pegué esta tira por todo el borde de la tapa de cartón.
I cut the circumference again in another piece of cardboard to obtain the cover, I took the recycled banner sheet (it belonged to an old advertising poster) and cut a strip about 1.5 cm wide, with hot silicone I glued this strip all over the edge of cardboard lid.
Corte un tira de foami para hacer el asa de la tapa, con un clavo caliente o cualquier metal que se pueda calentar (incluso se puede usando un cautín) hice algunas decoraciones sobre el foami.
Cut a strip of foam to make the lid handle, with a hot nail or any metal that can be heated (you can even use a soldering iron) I made some decorations on the foam.
Con silicón caliente pegué el otro cordón por el borde superior de la tapa, asimismo pegué el asa de foami y algunos botones y zarcillos viejos.
With hot silicone I glued the other cord on the upper edge of the lid, I also glued the foam handle and some old buttons and earrings.
Con el pincel y pintura verde pinté todo el joyero incluyendo las decoraciones, es preferible usar pintura acrílica pero yo usé la que tenía, esta era una acuarela en tubo la cual utilicé sin disolver en agua.
With the brush and green paint I painted the entire jewelry box including the decorations, it is preferable to use acrylic paint but I used the one I had, this was a tube watercolor which I used without dissolving in water.
Cuando la pintura secó con la esponja apliqué la pintura metalizada en crema, lo cual se debe hacer cuidadosamente por medio de toques con la esponja.
When the paint dried with the sponge I applied the metallic cream paint, which must be done carefully by dabbing with the sponge.
Resultado / Result
Mi mamá siempre se queja de que guardo mucha basura, sin embargo, a veces las cosas viejas a las que ella considera basura pueden convertirse en algo lindo como este joyero, por eso so hice para ella. Espero les haya gustado e intente hacer algo similar con sus materiales en casa.
My mom always complains that I keep a lot of trash, however sometimes old things that she considers trash can turn into something cute like this jewelry box, that's why I made it for her. I hope you liked it and try to do something similar with your materials at home.
