Good evening, my friends. I hope you are all in good health. I want to share with you a piñata I made for a little boy with a guitar theme. Honestly, the steps are easy, and the person was delighted, which makes me very proud to see how much I have learned through Hive. I'm not saying I didn't have these skills before, but since I discovered this platform, I have strived to learn more every day, and I have seen the results.
Materials I used to make the piñata:
-Cardboard
-Crepe paper
-Foam
-Scissors
-Silicone
Here are the steps to follow:
To start the piñata, I made a pattern with the theme of the celebration, that is, the shape of the guitar body, which had to have two identical pieces, as this is a safer way to do crafts. Once I had the pattern, I continued marking it on cardboard. We marked two guitars, as I mentioned at the beginning.
Once we marked the bodies of the two guitars in the previous step, we continued cutting out each piece with our scissors.
Next, I took some strips of cardboard and began to glue them around the guitar to make the piñata. The thickness of the strip will depend on our preference and the size of the piñata. I worked with strips 18 centimeters wide. The length of the strip does not matter, as it is enough to cover the entire piñata, in this case the guitar.
Once we have the bottom of the piñata ready with the cardboard all around it, we will continue by taking the other guitar-shaped piece and gluing it on top, making sure that it is edge to edge and well glued. Then we reinforce the piñata by gluing tape or adhesive tape around all the edges of the piñata.
Next, take the crepe paper, cut it to the width of the sides of the guitar, and glue it starting from one end to the other, covering it so that that side is a smooth design and the shape of the guitar can be seen.
Next, we will continue taking the crepe paper and cut it into small squares, which I cut into fringes to decorate the front and back of the piñata.
Next, we will start decorating the front of our piñata. We will take our fringed squares and glue them from the bottom up, adding silicone and starting to glue the fringes side by side from the bottom until the piñata is covered. We will do the same thing on the back as we did on the front.
Once our piñata is covered, we will continue cutting out some designs with foam to decorate the center of our guitar and give them shape, such as a star, the center of the guitar, its strings, and all its accessories.
Finally, I took the foam pieces and glued them in the center to give it more meaning and the shape of a guitar, thus finishing my creation.
This is the final result of my beautiful guitar piñata. I hope that in the future you can make one for any celebration or decoration.
