Under God's Hand. That's the name I gave this painting. It's certainly not professional, but it has great value and meaning for me, because under God's hand, everything flourishes, especially in these trying times. The outlook before us may not be very encouraging, but God can turn even deserts into springs.

Bajo la mano de Dios. Es el nombre que le coloqué a esta pintura. Ciertamente no tiene nada de profesional, pero tiene mucho valor y un gran significado para mí y es que bajo la mano de Dios, todo florece, sobre todo en estos tiempos de prueba. Puede ser que el panorama frente a nosotros no sea muy alentador, Pero Dios puede convertir aun los desiertos en manantiales

In the health process I have been going through, even though I must rest my eyes as much as possible, I spend a few minutes doing crafts. I had wanted to paint a picture for a long time, and I finally decided to do it. I got some inexpensive materials and set out to paint. This image came to my mind while I was resting with my eyes closed. I wasn't really thinking about what to paint, I just visualized it and here it is.

En el proceso de salud que he estado viviendo, pese a que debo guardar el mayor reposo posible en cuanto a mi vista, me dedico algunos minutos a hacer mis trabajos manuales. Hacía tiempo que quería pintar un cuadro, y finalmente decidí hacerlo. Conseguí algunos materiales de bajo costo y me dispuse a pintar. Está imagen llegó a mi mente mientras descansaba con los ojos cerrados. La verdad no estaba pensando en qué pintar, simplemente la visualicé y aquí se las presento.

First, I made a sketch in my sketchbook. After drawing the silhouette of the hand, I placed various flowers to fill the entire space.

Primero hice un boceto en mi cuaderno de dibujos. Después de dibujar la silueta de la mano, coloque diversas flores para llenar todo el espacio.

The materials I used are a pressed canvas, acrylic paints, brushes of different sizes, pencil, water, and sketch paper.

Los materiales que utilicé son un lienzo prensado, pinturas acrílicas, pinceles de diferentes tamaños, lápiz, agua, papel para el boceto.

With a clearer idea in mind, I drew the silhouette on the canvas. I did this with light strokes, as the texture of the canvas wears down the pencil and could stain the canvas.

Con la idea un poco más clara, dibuje la silueta sobre el lienzo. Esto lo hice con trazos mi ligeros ya que la textura del lienzo desgasta el lápiz y podría mancharnos el lienzo.

I continued applying paint. First, I painted the background black on the left and red on the right. I blended the two colors in the middle and continued with the lower quadrants, this time using brown and yellow.

Seguí con la aplicación de pinturas. Primero el fondo con el color negro a la izquierda y rojo a la derecha. Hice un difuminado en el medio de los dos colores y así seguí con los cuadrantes inferiores, está vez usando café y amarillo.

For the background of the hand, I chose blue. Perhaps I should have mixed it with white to tone it down, but I didn't, and I had trouble getting the flowers to have a vivid color because the blue background showed through. On the lower part of the hand, I applied green and dark blue and let it flow freely to give it a more artistic touch.

Para el fondo de la mano elegí un color azul. Quizás debí mezclarlo con blanco para bajarle el tono, pero no fue así, y me costó conseguir que las flores tuvieran un tono de color vivo ya que se transperenta el fondo azul. En la parte inferior de la mano apliqué color verde y azul oscuro y lo deje fluir libre en para darle un toque más artístico.

In this sense, it was necessary to apply many layers of color; the paints don't have much pigmentation, so I had to do this to make them stand out a little more. The work on the flowers took a long time and it was quite complex to make them look realistic. In fact, I don't think I succeeded very well. I also tried to add some light with white paint, but again, the poor coverage of the paints worked against me.

En este sentido, fue necesario que aplicará muchas capas de color; las pinturas no tienen mucha pigmentación, para conseguir que se notaran un poco más. El trabajo de las flores fue largo y resultó bastante complejo darle un aspecto realista, de hecho creo que no fue bien logrado. También intenté colocar algo de luz con la pintura blanca, Pero nuevamente me jugó en contra la escasa cobertura de las pinturas.

I finished the painting after a week. I was very happy, perhaps not so much with the result, as there are a number of things that could be improved, but rather with the fact that I was able to realize my vision for this painting and its meaning. I have it hanging in my living room, and it reminds me that under God's hand, there is always life, everything is restored, and everything flourishes. Thank you for joining me. Llegué a terminar el cuadro después de una semana. Quedé muy contenta, quizás no tanto por el resultado, pues tiene una cantidad de cosas que se podrían mejorar, pero si por materializar mi visión de está pintura y por su significado. La tengo colgada en mi sala y me recuerda que bajo la mano de Dios, siempre hay vida, todo se restaura y todo florece. Gracias por acompañarme. Que reciban muchas bendiciones en este día.
