Holaaa! Espero que se encuentren bien y disfrutando del comienzo del mes!. Desde hace un tiempo que quería dibujar a esta chica ya que es uno de mis personajes femeninos favoritos y hoy ha sido la ocasión para hacerlo. Como muchos sabrán ella es Merlina Addams un personaje con una personalidad bastante peculiar y es parte de la reconocida película "La familia Addams" que a pesar de lo sombría que es también me parece divertida e interesante. Hellooo! I hope you are well and enjoying the beginning of the month! For some time I wanted to draw this girl since she is one of my favorite female characters and today was the occasion to do it. As many of you know, she is Merlina Addams, a character with a rather peculiar personality and is part of the well-known movie "The Addams Family" which, despite how dark it is, also makes me looks fun and interesting. I hope you enjoy the post!

🎨Primero hice el esbozo a lápiz del personaje guiándome de la imagen seleccionada y asegurándome de que se viera lo más parecida posible a esta. Mi objetivo es hacer un dibujo animado de Merlina, realmente aún no he dominado dibujar rostros de forma realista, pero estoy en eso 👈🏻. Una vez hecho el bosquejo delinee todo el dibujo con un bolígrafo negro para poder borrar las líneas de grafito y así empezar a colorear limpiamente; generalmente eso es lo que suelo hacer al comenzar a realizar un dibujo: bocetar, delinear y limpiar ✨
🎨First I did the pencil sketch of the character guiding me from the selected image and making sure it looked as close as possible to this one. My goal is to make a cartoon sketch of Merlina, I haven't really mastered drawing faces realistically yet, but I'm getting there 👈🏻. Once the sketch was done I outlined the whole drawing with a black pen so I could erase the graphite lines and thus start coloring cleanly; generally that's what I usually do when starting to make a drawing: sketch, outline and clean up ✨
🎨Ahora le daré vida al dibujo con colores, aunque nose qué tanta vida ya que este personaje es bastante oscuro y siniestro👀...En fin, suelo empezar a colorear desde el centro hacia afuera, comenzando a rellenar primero los ojos pero hoy empezaré por su piel usando como base una tonalidad bastante clara ya que esta chica es un poco pálida; luego tome un tono de color mucho más oscuro y remarque el rostro dibujando sobras en sus respectivas partes lo cual ayudo a darle forma y a que la piel no se viera tan plana. Creo que definitivamente jugar con luces y sombra hace una gran diferencia en cualquier dibujo.
🎨 Now I'll give life to the drawing with colors, although I don't know how much life since this character is quite dark and sinister👀.... Anyway, I usually start coloring from the center outwards, starting to fill in the eyes first but today I'll start with her skin using a pretty light shade as a base since this girl is a bit pale; then I took a much darker shade of color and highlighted the face by drawing leftovers in their respective parts which helped to give it shape and make the skin not look so flat. I think that definitely playing with light and shadow makes a big difference in any drawing.
🎨A continuación saque de mi estuche todo lo negro que encontré y lo esparcí en todo este dibujo, primero pinte sus ojos y cejas y oscurecí aún más las facciones de su cara dándole un aspecto mucho más sombrío ( y de paso me pase un poco con el rubo :// olvide tomar en cuenta que Merlina no se maquilla, sorry :´v), seguidamente con un marcador negro rellene todo su traje y cabello.
🎨Next I took out of my case all the black I could find and spread it all over this drawing, first I painted her eyes and eyebrows and darkened even more the features of her face giving her a much darker look (and by the way I went a little too much with the blond :// I forgot to take into account that Merlina doesn't wear makeup, sorry :'v), then with a black marker I filled in all her outfit and hair.
🎨Seguidamente combinando y mesclando los colores azul cielo y azul marino y morado coloree el frasco que Merlina lleva en la mano, en la imagen original lleva otro tono más apagado pero aquí le quise dar una pizca de color para que resaltara. Por otro lado yo no bebería de un frasco que lleva en la etiqueta una calabera, pero bueno son los Locos Addams por alguna razón jeje 😝
🎨Then combining and mixing the colors sky blue and navy blue and purple I colored the bottle that Merlina is holding in her hand, in the original image it has another more muted tone but here I wanted to give it a pinch of color to make it stand out. On the other hand I wouldn't drink from a bottle that has a pumpkin on the label, but well it's the Addams Crazy for some reason hehe 😝
🎨Por último utilizando la misma paleta de colores rellene el fondo de purpura y morado y con un color blanco di pequeños toques de luz en el frasco y en el cabello de la chica. Para finalizar se me ocurrió utilizar una cartulina negra como marco, por lo tanto tome un recuadro de cartulina y recorte un circulo en el medio y luego lo pegue sobre el dibujo y LISTO!🤗
🎨Finally using the same color palette I filled the background with purple and purple and with a white color I gave little touches of light in the bottle and in the girl's hair. To finish it occurred to me to use a black cardboard as a frame, so I took a square of cardboard and cut out a circle in the middle and then glued it over the drawing and READY!🤗
