It's Palm Sunday, so I'm sharing this idea for making crosses with palm fronds. They're very easy to make, and you can take them to church to be blessed and then place them in a special spot in your home. In my family, it's customary to put them in the kitchen after they've been blessed, so we'll always have food, or on the altar I kept from my mother, where her saints and the Virgin of Chiquinquirá are kept. We've been very devoted to her since we were little, thanks to my mother's beliefs and devotion. She instilled in us the importance of loving God above all else, and the belief that both the saints and the Virgin of Chiquinquirá accompany us every day.

Es domingo de Ramos, es por eso que les comparto esta idea de cómo elaborar unas cruces con unas hojitas de las palmas. Son muy fáciles de hacer y las pueden llevar a la iglesia para que las bendigan y luego colocarlas en un lugar especial de la casa. En mi familia es costumbre ponerlas, luego de ser bendecidas, en la cocina para que siempre tengamos alimentos, o también en el altar que conservo de mi mami, donde están sus santos y la Virgen de Chiquinquirá, ya que somos muy devotos de ella desde muy pequeños gracias a las creencias y devoción de mi mami, que nos inculcó amar a Dios por sobre todas las cosas, y que tanto los santos como la Virgen de Chiquinquirá nos acompañan todos los días.

Luckily, I have palm trees in my garden, and I took two small branches and then used three leaves to make the crosses.
Por suerte, en mi jardín tengo árboles de palma y tomé dos ramitos y luego utilicé tres hojas para elaborar las cruces.
With one of the sheets I made a fold in the middle and then continued folding it in the shape of a cross, then I took the other sheet and made the second fold to join it to the first one.
Con una de las hojas hice un doblez en medio y luego seguí doblándola en forma de cruz,luego tomé la otra hojita e hice el segundo doblez para unirla al primero.
With the third sheet, we tie the cross and adjust it by inserting the tip inside so that it is fixed.
Con la tercera hoja, atamos la cruz y la ajustamos introduciendo la punta por dentro para que esté fija.
