Greetings everyone in this community! Happy Sunday!
This morning since kids don't have class because the holiday (tomorrow) was moved today by the principal of the school. She said that it's better than today is the day that doesn't have class so that the class the kids will be continuous for four days. So what we did after doing all the morning chores was spent our time making a paper flower.
Here are the things we needed to prepare:
- Art paper
- Scissors
- A small stone
- Yarn or any other things that can be used to tie a certain part of the flower.
Procedures: Petal creation
- Fold the other side of the art paper ( just 2 to 3 cm will do). After folding, cut it. In every petal, I used 7 pieces of cut art paper.
- Gather those seven cut strips of art paper. Pick one and fold it in half. Place it above the table then insert those remaining cut strips so we can start weaving those.
- When all paper strips are inserted, it's weaving time. Fold down each side of the strip of paper. Folding it down then insert under each strip in turn. So sorry, I'm not good at explaining this step but if you're confused about what I mean, you can just refer to the above photo.
For the center of the flower, get the small stone and place it in the center of the square cut black art paper and cover it.
Gathering altogether the end part of the weave petal then insert the covered stone at the center of it. When it was formed already, tie the end part of the petal. Refer to the photo above.
Here's the flower that we made. I only weaved four petals because we ran out of art paper since the one that we used was the remaining one from covering the project box of my kids before.
Hope you like this flower creation that is made of art paper.
