Es por eso que me uno a esta comunidad para participar en este hermoso concurso, donde vamos a crear nuestro propio cascanueces. Siendo sincera, nunca había tenido un cascanueces hasta que decidí participar en este concurso. Ahora tengo mi propio adorno de cascanueces que me acompañará en estas navidades.
Vivo en un país donde durante muchos años las navidades no se acompañaban de todos esos adornos mágicos que existen. Teníamos una forma diferente de pasar estos días. Pero como todo cambia y evoluciona, poco a poco hemos ido incorporando esta hermosa fantasía a nuestra cultura Hasta ahora, solo había visto al cascanueces en películas y cuentos, nunca lo había tenido en mis manos. Para poder apreciar todos los detalles que lleva, revisé varios cuentos, vídeos y fotos.
Aquí les muestro mi primer cascanueces, que estoy segura no será el último. Iré perfeccionándolo poco a poco. Así que, ¡comencemos! Primero, les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y luego el proceso de elaboración. No es tan complejo como pensé, y como me gusta reutilizar materiales, utilicé un rollo de papel higiénico y un cartón negro muy duro de una caja de perfumes para darles un nuevo uso.
Christmas greetings to all! The most beautiful time of the year has arrived, where we get together and celebrate as a family. That's why I am joining this community to participate in this beautiful contest, where we are going to create our own nutcracker. To be honest, I had never had a nutcracker until I decided to participate in this contest. Now I have my own nutcracker ornament that will accompany me this Christmas.
I live in a country where for many years Christmas was not accompanied by all those magical decorations that exist. We had a different way of spending these days. But as everything changes and evolves, little by little we have been incorporating this beautiful fantasy to our culture. Until now, I had only seen the nutcracker in movies and stories, I had never had it in my hands. In order to appreciate all the details it carries, I reviewed several stories, videos and photos.
Here I show you my first nutcracker, which I am sure will not be the last. I will be perfecting it little by little. So, let's get started! First, I'll show you the materials I used and then the process of making it. It's not as complex as I thought, and since I like to reuse materials, I used a toilet paper roll and a very hard black cardboard from a perfume box to give them a new use.
Materiales:
- Foami de los colores rosa, azul, rojo, negro, blanco y amarillo escarchado.
- 1 rollo de papel higiénico.
- Cartulina negra de una caja de perfume.
- 2 ojos pequeños.
- Pistola de silicona sólida.
- Silicona líquida.
- Tijeras.
- Lápiz.
Materials:
- Foami in the colors pink, blue, red, red, black, white and frosted yellow.
- 1 roll of toilet paper.
- Black cardboard from a perfume box.
- 2 small eyes.
- Solid silicone gun
- Liquid silicone.

Empiezo marcando el tubo de papel higiénico con las medidas de cada parte del cascanueces: la cabeza (2,5 cm), la chaqueta (3,5 cm), los pantalones (2 cm) y las botas (1,5 cm). Además, hago un redondel de cartulina negra para que sea la base del sombrero.
I start by marking the toilet paper tube with the measurements of each part of the nutcracker: the head (2.5 cm), the jacket (3.5 cm), the pants (2 cm) and the boots (1.5 cm). In addition, I make a round of black cardboard to be the base of the hat.
Con las mismas medidas mencionadas anteriormente, corté el foami en los colores correspondientes. Utilizo el negro para las botas, el azul para los pantalones, el rojo para la chaqueta y el rosa para la cabeza. Luego, los pego alrededor del tubo con la pistola de silicona.
With the same measurements mentioned above, I cut the foami in the corresponding colors. I use black for the boots, blue for the pants, red for the jacket and pink for the head. Then, I glue them around the tube with the silicone gun.
Luego, hago el gorrito. Para ello, corto foami negro de 2.5 cm de ancho y 14 cm de largo. Lo pego alrededor del círculo con el foami, y en la parte superior coloco otro círculo de cartón negro que también he recortado.
Next, I make the little hat. To do this, I cut black foami 2.5 cm wide and 14 cm long. I glue it around the circle with the foami, and on top I place another circle of black cardboard that I have also cut out.
Para hacer los brazos, recorto dos rectángulos de foami rojo de 3.5 cm de alto y 5 cm de largo. Además, corto dos tiras de foami escarchado de 1 cm de ancho, a las cuales les hago flequillos para hacer las charreteras. También corto una tira más fina de 0.5 cm para que sea los puños. Luego, los pego todos juntos con la pistola de silicona, formo los brazos y los pego a ambos lados del cuerpo, en la parte de la chaqueta.
To make the arms, I cut two rectangles of red foami 3.5 cm high and 5 cm long. In addition, I cut two strips of frosted foami 1 cm wide, to which I make bangs to make the epaulettes. I also cut a 0.5 cm thinner strip to be the cuffs. Then, I glue them all together with the silicone gun, form the arms and glue them on both sides of the body, on the jacket part.
A continuación, pinto la boca con los dientes del cascanueces en foami blanco. También pinto las manos de color rosado y recorto foami blanco de 2.5 cm de ancho y 10 cm de largo para hacer el cabello, cortando flequillos
Next, I paint the mouth with the nutcracker's teeth in white foami. I also paint the hands pink and cut white foami 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long to make the hair, cutting bangs.
Teniendo en cuenta el ancho del tubo de papel, dibujo una plantilla para hacer los pies del cascanueces. Las hago con la cartulina negra gruesa, hago dos y las pego para que queden firmes.
Taking into account the width of the paper tube, I draw a template to make the feet of the nutcracker. I make them out of the thick black cardboard, make two and glue them together to make them firm.
Luego, para añadir los detalles, corto tres tiras finas de foami esmerilado de 1,5 cm de ancho cada una. Hago un óvalo dorado y otro más pequeño en rojo, y los pego como se muestra en las imágenes.
Then, to add the details, I cut three thin strips of frosted foami, each 1.5 cm wide. I make a golden oval and a smaller one in red, and glue them as shown in the pictures.
Para terminar, pinto las cejas y los bigotes con un rotulador negro, y la nariz con un rotulador rosa. También resalto mejor los dientes, ¡y así queda terminado!
To finish, I paint the eyebrows and the whiskers with a black marker, and the nose with a pink marker. I also highlight the teeth better, and that's how it's finished!
