Hola hola amigos (a) de hive y de la comunidad de @hiveDiy espero se encuentren muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero enseñarles a cómo crear Jarras mason jars con frascos de mayonesa, este tipo de frascos son muy usados en algunos restaurantes y en algunos hogares para darle otra vida a los frascos de vidrio. En mi caso reciclo los frascos de mayonesa que pueda, les doy varios tipos de uso como por ejemplo colocar mi set de maquillaje o lapiceros, bebidas y hasta sirve para colocar a secar los cubiertos, tu puedes darles el uso que desees.
Para decorar los frascos hago uso de un programa para diseñar que es Corell draw, una página de vectores libres de descarga que se llama freepik, un plotter de corte y vinilos de colores. También tenemos la opción de diseñar algo a nuestro gusto, puede ser una frase corta que te represente y desees tenerla en tu frasco. Recomiendo para elaborar estos frascos es buscar ideas en internet de lo que más te guste, especialmente en Pinterest que tiene buenas recomendaciones en cuanto a manualidades y lo que desees buscar para crear.
En esta ocasión haré un frasco para una amiga especial que estará de cumpleaños próximamente, a ella le gusta muchísimo la serie televisiva Game of Thrones, en especial la casa de los targaryen y su personaje favorito de la serie que es Arya, entonces le haré un diseño con ese motivo especial. Por ser un diseño con derechos de autor, en la página Freepik no hay vector de la serie que sea libre de descarga solo hay diseños pagos y, por lo tanto, procedo a descargar la fuente original de la serie y elaborar el diseño en el programa corell draw.
Comencemos con los pasos para elaborar los frascos, recordando que para este tipo de manualidad necesitamos tener algunos conocimientos básicos de diseño gráfico y manejo de plotters de corte (Silhoutte studio), los pasos para elaborar los frascos son los siguientes:
1. Cómo mencioné antes no hay vectores libres de descarga para este diseño en especial, el primero paso en esta ocasión es buscar la fuente de dicha serie en internet y descargar.
2. Ya descargada la fuente debes descomprimir el archivo e instalar en el equipo.
3. Abrimos el programa Corell Draw y procedemos a escribir la frase “House of the dragon”, seleccionamos la frase y buscamos en la lista de fuentes Game of Thrones.
4. Buscamos el logo del diseño original de la serie e intento hacerlo lo más parecido, guardo el documento en formato autocad DXF.
5. Elegimos entre los viniles el color que vayas a usar, en este caso usaré el color dorado metalizado.
6. Tomamos medidas a lo largo y ancho del frasco (son necesarias para saber qué medida tendrá el vinil al momento de dejarlo plasmado en el frasco) Las medidas en milímetros son 45 de largo x 11,7 de ancho.
7. Ya teniendo esos pasos listos solo nos quedaría abrir el programa del plotter que se llama Silhoutte Studio, en ese programa haremos la magia real del diseño para el frasco.
8. Con el programa Silhoutte Studio abierto, me dirijo a abrir el diseño que guardamos en el paso 4.
9. Agrupamos el diseño, seleccionando todo el diseño y haciendo clic derecho en agrupar o puedes hacerlo presionando las teclas al mismo tiempo CTRL + G.
10. Ingresamos las medidas en milímetros, dando clic primero en el candado para que el diseño no pierda la proporción de su tamaño.
11. Teniendo el diseño listo para el corte en el programa de Silhoutte, solo nos queda dar clic donde dice enviar y como ven, ya tengo programado que tipo de papel/vinil voy a cortar y que presión y velocidad tendrá la hojilla (Esto es importante).
12. Tomamos el Mat de corte, colocamos encima el pedazo de vinyl que elegimos para el diseño y lo ingresamos en el plotter de corte ya previamente encendido.
13. En el programa Silhoutte damos clic en ENVIAR y el plotter comenzará a cortar el vinyl.
14. Ya cortado el vinyl, lo retiramos del plotter del mat de corte y comenzaremos a retirar lo que no necesitamos del diseño.
15. Ajá ya lo tenemos listo, entonces para transportar el diseño al frasco tenemos que pegarlo al papel transfer (¡Ojo! antes de transferir el vinyl, hay que limpiar muy bien el frasco para que no tengan pelusas y dañen el diseño).
16. Tomamos el frasco y transferimos con mucho cuidado el diseño y LISTO amigos, ya tenemos el diseño plasmado en nuestro frasquito de vidrio.
17. Opcional al diseño ya planteado, le agregué un dragón para darle más personalidad al frasco haciendo todos los procedimientos anteriormente.
Nota: Cuando hacemos el uso de ambos programas las medidas que usualmente usamos, tienen que ser en milímetros o centímetros.
Así nos quedó el frasco con el diseño de Game of Thrones, puedes reciclar y dar un pequeño detalle con el motivo que desees a esa persona especial.

1. As I mentioned before there are no free vectors to download for this special design, the first step in this occasion is to look for the source of this series on the internet and download it.
2. Once the source has been downloaded, you must unzip the file and install it on your computer.
3. We open the Corell Draw program and proceed to write the phrase "House of the dragons", select the phrase and search in the list of Game of Thrones fonts.
4. We look for the logo of the original design of the series and I try to make it as similar as possible, I save the document in autocad DXF format.
5. Choose among the vinyls the color you are going to use, in this case I will use the metallic gold color.
6. We take measurements along the length and width of the bottle (they are necessary to know what size the vinyl will be at the moment of placing it on the bottle). The measurements in millimeters are 45 mm long x 11.7 mm wide.
7. Having these steps ready, we only have to open the plotter program called Silhoutte Studio, in this program we will make the real magic of the design for the jar.
8. With the Silhoutte Studio program open, I go to open the design we saved in step 4.
9. Group the design by selecting the whole design and right clicking on group or you can do it by pressing the keys CTRL + G at the same time.
10. Enter the measurements in millimeters, clicking first on the lock so that the design does not lose the proportion of its size.
11. Having the design ready for cutting in the Silhoutte program, we only have to click where it says send and as you can see, I have already programmed what type of paper/vinyl I am going to cut and what pressure and speed the blade will have (this is important).
12. We take the cutting mat, place the piece of vinyl we have chosen for the design on top of it and put it into the cutting plotter, which has already been turned on.
13. In the Silhoutte program click on SEND and the plotter will start cutting the vinyl.
14. Once the vinyl is cut, remove it from the cutting mat plotter and begin to remove what we do not need from the design.
15. we have it ready, then to transfer the design to the bottle we have to glue it to the transfer paper (Warning! before transferring the vinyl, you have to clean the bottle very well so that they do not have lint and damage the design).
16. We take the jar and carefully transfer the design and READY friends, we have the design captured in our glass jar.
17. Optional to the design already proposed, I added a dragon to give more personality to the bottle doing all the above procedures.
Note: When using both programs the measurements that I usually use, have to be in millimeters or centimeters.
This is how we got the jar with the Game of Thrones design, you can recycle and give a small detail with the motif you want to that special person.
