Para comenzar vamos a cortar cuadrados del tamaño que desees según sea el gusto para hacer tu estrella, lo que me encantó de esta manualidad es que la puedes hacerlas del tamaño que tú desees desde muy pequeñas, hasta bastante grandes.
En mi caso yo la quería un poco grandecita y corté mis cuadrados de 16cm y en total vamos a cortar 6 cuadrados, aunque esto puede variar ya que puedes hacer una estrella de cuatro puntas de cinco puntas o de seis puntas, yo la haré de seis puntas
Para hacer este trabajo conseguí una cartulina dorada por ambos lados y me pareció perfecta, por suerte la conseguí muy económica

To do this job I got some gold cardboard on both sides and it seemed perfect, luckily I got it very cheaply.
Al tener listos los cuadrados vamos a doblar en forma diagonal así como muestro en mi imagen
Luego haremos los siguientes dobleces, doblamos llevando las puntas hacia la parte del centro de nuestro cuadrado, el triángulo que queda en la parte de arriba lo vamos a doblar hacia adentro, luego doblamos las dos puntas superiores hacia adentro, aquí te dejo la siguiente imagen en la que espero comprendas como deben realizarse los dobleces:

Este procedimiento lo vamos a hacer con todos los cuadrados de cartulina, luego vamos a pegar las dos aletas que doblamos de último, al triángulo que se forma por la parte interna tratando de que no se pegue a la otra parte de la cartulina y les debe quedar como muestro en mi imagen.

Para el siguiente paso vamos a unir todas las piezas por la parte más pequeña allí puedes hacerlo a tu gusto, tu estrella la puedes hacer de cuatro puntas, de cinco o como la mía de seis puntas

A esta linda estrella puedes colocarle un hilo por la parte de atrás y guindarla o también puedes pegarle un palillo y colocársela a tu árbol de Navidad, por supuesto aproveché los retazos de cartulina que me sobraron y hice una estrella pequeñita y queda igual de hermosa que la grande aquí está el resultado:
