I haven't posted any crafts in a while, but today I couldn't resist.
In Cuba, where I live, the school year started today (2025-2026), and the crochet project I'm showing you has a lot to do with that:
PENDANT FOR BACKPACKS AND PURSES
A red and white tide flooded my street. Less than a block from my front door, there's a Primary Education Center, and the children started returning there early.
I felt nostalgic, as I would have liked to share it with my granddaughter, even though I received her photograph.
To make it, I used the following tools and materials:
Tools
_ Scissors
_ 8.88 ml ergonomic needle
_ Needle
Materials
_ Thick yarn in three shades (green, orange, black)
_ Hook (small crab)
_ Metal ring
Step by step
_ 1st round: Begin knitting, in a magic ring, six single crochet stitches.
_ 2nd round: Two double crochet stitches in each single crochet stitch, which doubles the number of stitches.
_ 3rd round: Knit the same way as the second round, two double crochet stitches in each stitch.
Six circles of equal size should be completed: three in green and three in orange.
After you have the six circles, begin joining them with the black color, alternating one single crochet and two in the next.
This is necessary to prevent the edge from shrinking. See the photos.
Once the seam is finished, the metal ring is attached to attach it to the hook.
And this striking decoration for the little ones' school backpack is ready.

Hace algun tiempo no publico manualidades, pero hoy no pude renunciar a hacerlo.
En Cuba, país en que vivo, hoy se dió inicio al curso escolar (2025_2026) y el trabajo a crochet que les muestro, tiene mucho que ver con ello, es:
COLGANTE PARA MOCHILAS Y CARTERAS
Una marea roja y blanca inundó mi calle, a menos de una cuadra de distancia de la puerta de mi casa, hay un Centro de Educación Primaria y desde temprano los niños comenzaron a regresar allí.
Sentí nostalgia, pues me hubiera gustado compartir con mi nieta, aunque recibí su fotografía.
Para realizar utilicé las siguientes herramientas y materiales:
Herramientas
_ Tijera
_ Aguja ergonómica 8.88 ml
_ Aguja lanera
Materiales
_Estambre grueso de tres tonalidades (verde, naranja, negro)
_Enganche (cangrejito)
_ Argollita metálica
Paso a paso
_ 1ra vuelta :Comienzo a tejer, en un anillo mágico, seis puntos bajos.
_2da vuelta: Dos puntos altos en cada punto bajo, lo que hace que aumente el doble de puntos.
_3ra vuelta: Se teje de la misma forma que la segunda vuelta, dos puntos altos en cada punto.
Se deben completar, seis círculos de igual tamaño, tres verde y tres naranjas.
Después de tener los seis círculos se comienzan a unir con el color negro, alternando un punto bajo simple y dos en el siguiente.
Es necesario para que el borde no se reduzca.Observe las fotos.
Una vez terminada la unión se coloca la argolla metálica para unirla al enganche.
Y ya está listo este llamativo adorno para la mochila escolar de los pequeños de casa.
