Another week has passed and the renovation project has entered a new phase. Where it was first just destroying stuff and prepping for rebuilding, we now are slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
This week the plasterer entered the game and started plastering some first walls of the living room / kitchen. Later he will also work on the ceilings. For this reason I prepped some wires for spotlights that will be placed in the whole house later. This was quite the hassle, fitting wires through small holes and over insulation and ceiling beams. But we managed in the end:
The walls being fixed is currently in an intermediate state with some walls still untreated. Here's the plasterer doing his skill-demanding job:
And here's the corner where the kitchen will be placed later:
And thinking about how it looked before, it is quite the transformation:
Tomorrow there will be two more workers helping the plasterer. I expect it to pick up pace quite a bit! The goal is to have all walls and ceilings done by the end of next week. Let's see how far the will get!
While the whole apartment has to remain empty for the workers, I couldn't do much other tasks myself. I did focus on finishing up tiling the toilet walls. I forgot to make a picture of the end result, but here's the state somewhere in between start and finish:
Soon I'll grout the walls and throw in the floor tiling!
Another update will follow soon!
