Hello Hive
I'm happy to be here again and share with us another of my Christmas sewing projects. Today feels like everyone alot of people on the Blockchain are equally on blogging break too while I am here navigating from one fabric to another sewing different outfits for different people. Well it will be nice to go on some break too but this is usually the peak of the times when we often have some clients who wishes to make clothes while we get lucky to make some good amount of money from sewing too. In everything money has to be made.
I will definitely get some resting time in the coming days after Christmas and right before the new year. So check out the dress I was able to put together yesterday night as well.
It is means for one of my customers lovely daughters. I had sewn two series of these outfits
It's such a lovely multiple colors of African print fabrics.
I starter with cutting the upper bodice here
Followed by the lower bodice linings and every other part to be stitched.
The stitching started with the sewing of a pleated design on the neckline
Followed by a gathers on the waist line. Underneath the skirt I have
attached some mesh nets called the bridal hard net often used for wedding dresses. This often gives clothes some fullness followed by some lining to cover the nets so that the nets won't be scratching the wearer of the dress
Next I did fix in the back zipper of the dress before I continued with then the hemming of the dress at it base to give it a neat finishing
Ironing was equally done along side the whole activities so that the outfit will not be bulging after sewing.
Another beautiful thing we did on this dress is this carraibean pleates right on the lower base.
I had cut out a long piece of the fabric, properly hemming the edges and pleating it directly on the dress.
The pleatings gave the dress some unique looks
The final process is the cutting and attachment of the sleeves. I had used a simple bell sleeves so that I won't be stressing myself and more so because I have some very limited time to meet up with the loads of sewing.
Everything is now completed and you can see the beautiful outcome of the dress. I do hope that the girls will love the outcome of their outfits.
