Está semana tuve una charla agradable con mi tía y surgió el tema de un pantalón donde le sugerí que si le gustaría transformarlo en falda. Me dijo que sí, que le gustaba la idea. La verdad darle un estilo renovado a nuestras prendas nos suben el autoestima.
Y no vale la pena dejar al olvidó una prenda que ya no te gusta o no le das uso.

This week I had a nice chat with my aunt and the subject of a pair of pants came up where I suggested to her that if she would like to transform it into a skirt. She said yes, she liked the idea. The truth is that giving a renewed style to our clothes raises our self-esteem.
And it's not worth it to forget a garment you don't like or don't use anymore.

Me alegra de haber hecho en mi vida el curso de costura básico, porque gracias a él he podido crear, renovar y soñar.

I'm glad I took the basic sewing course in my life, because thanks to it I have been able to create, renew and dream.

Pasó 1/ Passed 1:

Descosi toda el área de la entrepierna hasta llegar al final del ruedo. Luego coloque el pantalón al revés del lado derecho coloque la parte trasera y de la izquierdo la parte delantera.
Utilizando una regla traze una línea del principio al final.

Unpick the entire crotch area until you reach the end of the hem. Then turn the pants inside out. On the right side place the back part and on the left side the front part.
Using a ruler draw a line from the beginning to the end.

Pasó 2/ Passed 2:

Luego con la tijera corte el excedente de tela, después de la línea trazada hacia afuera.
De la misma manera, lo hice del lado izquierdo con la parte delantera del pantalón.

Then with the scissors cut the excess fabric after the line drawn outwards.
In the same way, I did it on the left side with the front of the pants.

Pasó 3/ Passed 3:

De principio al final, pase costura en línea recta por ambos lados.

From the beginning to the end, pass straight line stitching on both sides.

Pasó 4/ Passed 4:

Una vez que hayamos terminado de pasar costura, corto las orillas si tiene muchos hilos sueltos y queda de esta manera.

Once we have finished passing seam, I cut the edges if it has a lot of loose threads and it looks like this.

Pasó 5/ Passed 5:

El ruedo del pantalón a mi tía le quedaba largo y me dijo que le cortará 3 dedos, esa medida es 5,5cm así que marque por dónde lo quería.

The hem of the pants was too long for my aunt and she told me to cut 3 fingers, that measurement is 5,5cm so I marked where she wanted it.

Esa línea marcada deje una distancia hacia abajo de 1,5cm y después corte.

That marked line I left a distance of 1.5cm down and then cut.

Pasó 7/ Passed 7:

Luego las orillas como estaban en el paso 4. Paso costura en zig-zag para evitar que se hilache la tela.

Then the edges as they were in step 4. I zig-zag stitch to prevent the fabric from fraying.

Queda de esta manera toda las orillas.
Luego doble el ruedo en dos partes ya que tenía una distancia de 1,5cm y pase costura en línea recta.

Mi tía estaba muy contenta con su nueva prenda renovada, me dijo: "justo como yo lo quería, una prenda cómoda y cambia mi estilo de vestir".

Es impresionante cuando uno modifica una prenda, porque en pocas palabras esa prenda vuelve a nacer.

Está transformación fue de manera fácil y rápida. Así pueden ser nuestras ideas que podemos tener para nuestras prendas usadas. De esa manera lograremos contribuir con nuestro hogar que es el planeta al no desecharla cuando no la usamos.
