Los envases y botellas de vidrio sin duda son un tesoro, por eso me cuesta desprenderme de ellas cuando llegan a casa, porque sé que algún uso les puedo dar, sobre todo si tienen una forma fuera de lo común como es el caso de esta botella que solía ser de vinagre de manzana y tiene una forma preciosa que por supuesto no se puede desaprovechar, así que decidí hacerla parte de mi nueva decoración, y los invito a acompañarme en su transformación.
Glass bottles and containers are undoubtedly a treasure, so I find it hard to get rid of them when they come home, because I know that I can give them some use, especially if they have an unusual shape as is the case of this bottle that used to be apple wine vinegar and has a beautiful shape that of course can not be wasted, so I decided to make it part of my new decor, and I invite you to join me in its transformation.
Mi plan con esta botella transformada en florero, es hacerla parte de una composición de varios objetos para un centro de mesa que está en proceso, y esta linda botella se convertirá en la pieza central por su tamaño, eso claro, si no cambio de idea más adelante (ustedes ya me conocen), pero de momento ese es el plan, y aunque el diseño es bastante sencillo, me gustó muchísimo el resultado final, sobre todo porque acompaña perfectamente toda la decoración en casa.
My plan with this bottle transformed into a vase, is to make it part of a composition of several objects for a centerpiece that is in process, and this cute bottle will become the centerpiece for its size, that is, if I don't change my mind later (you already know me), but for now that's the plan, and although the design is quite simple, I really liked the final result, especially because it goes perfectly with all the decoration at home.
Lo primero, como siempre, es limpiar muy bien la botella, por dentro y por fuera para dejarla secar y luego poder pintarla, y en este caso utilicé pintura acrílica blanca.
The first thing, as always, is to clean the bottle very well, inside and out, to let it dry and then be able to paint it, and in this case I used white acrylic paint.
La pintura la apliqué con una esponja, porque definitivamente es la mejor manera para pintar este tipo de superficies, queda muy prolijo el trabajo además que toma una textura que a mí me gusta muchísimo, así que fue la herramienta que escogí para aplicar el color a la botella, lo que logré después de tres capas de pintura.
I applied the paint with a sponge, because it is definitely the best way to paint this type of surfaces, it is very neat work also takes a texture that I really like, so it was the tool I chose to apply the color to the bottle, which I achieved after three coats of paint.
Una vez secó muy bien la pintura, apliqué la capa de finishcolor, que es el protector que estoy usando para este tipo de trabajo, y con el que hasta ahora me ha ido muy bien porque puedo incluso lavar las piezas sin afectar la pintura y el diseño que tienen, así que en definitiva lo recomiendo.
Once the paint dried very well, I applied a coat of finishcolor, which is the protector that I am using for this type of work, and with which so far I have done very well because I can even wash the pieces without affecting the paint and the design they have, so I definitely recommend it.
Una vez que ha secado la capa protectora (toma más tiempo que la pintura), quise darle un toque especial utilizando una técnica con corcho que vi hace poco en pinterest, que consiste en rallarlo muy fino, mezclarlo con pega blanca y aplicarlo sobre la superficie que deseas decorar, y al secar queda realmente lindo.
Así que rallé el corcho por la parte más fina del rallador de cocina y fui incorporando pega poco a poco hasta lograr una especie de masa que podía manejar con los dedos y la apliqué por toda la rosca de la botella y dejé secar, y el resultado como ven es muy lindo.
Once the protective layer has dried (it takes longer than the paint), I wanted to give it a special touch using a technique with cork that I saw recently on pinterest, which consists of grating it very finely, mix it with white glue and apply it on the surface you want to decorate, and when it dries it looks really nice.
So I grated the cork through the finest part of the kitchen grater and I added glue little by little until I got a kind of dough that I could handle with my fingers and I applied it all over the bottle thread and let it dry, and the result as you can see is very nice.
Y como pueden ver con un toque de pintura y un corcho, he logrado transformar una botella de vinagre, en una pieza decorativa súper linda, que puedo usar como florero, o simplemente para decorar sin colocar nada adentro.
