Sucede y no pude dejarlo pasar por alto, tenia la esperanza de hacerles este pequeño reportaje sobre un arbol muy peculiar existente aqui en el oriente del pais,.

It happens, and I couldn't let it go unnoticed. I was hoping to do this little report on a very peculiar tree found here in the eastern part of the country.
Su nombre es el araguaney (Tabehuia Chrisantha).
Este fue declarado arbol nacional de venezuela el 29 de mayo de 1948, por el entonces presidente Romulo Gallegos,.
En Venezuela simboliza la belleza natural y la riqueza del pais, lo llegaron a llamar "arbol dorado o arbol de oro".
Su madera es muy buscada por los carpinteros, por ser muy compacta y dura.

Por ser un arbol proteguido por el gobierno , al prohibir la tala y la quema, se le puede ver en el horizonte a finales del mes de mayo y solo por unos tres o cinco dias en sabanas cerros, vias terrestres, etc.
en algunos patios de casa, ornamentos de plazas y parques,..
aunque dicen que su fruto no es comestible, es muy buscado por loritos y cierta clase de avez de la temporada,comiendo en sus ramos el fruto todavia verde....

Les cuento que en el patio de mi casa tengo uno, no muy grande porque ellos son lentos para crecer, pero ese arbolito me lo dejo una muchacha que vivio en mi casa mientras terminaba sus estudios, sucede que un profesor se lo regalo porque el no tenia donde sembrarlo y ella me lo dejo , y aqui esta , desde hace dos años para aca es que se le ha visto magesturoso cuando florece.
Me diran ,"pero bueno esta señora esta como
loca , ella hace manualidades y ahora hablando de arboles". pero es que no podia dejar pasar esta impresion,.. esto sucede una vez al año y queria compartirla con ustedes.
Miren este esta en la esquina de una escuela, cuando comience a botar las flores el suelo se viste con una alfombra amarilla intensa,..ademas huele riquisimo!
les cuento que hasta una cancion cantan en la escuelas en su dia , si estamospor aqui el año que viene le tomare fotos al momento en que llegan las avez a comerse sus semillas , son muy ruidosas pero dignas de ver, se distinguen por se color verde de sus plumaje...

Look, this one is on the corner of a school. When it starts to bloom, the ground is covered in a bright yellow carpet... and it smells delicious!
