Este es mi primer post del año y estoy muy feliz de regresar por fin a Hive, 🥰 me hubiese gustado regresar semanas atrás, pero por motivos ajenos a mi voluntad no pude, ya que sí bien mi año no inicio mal, sino al contrario inicio super bien gracias a Dios, tuve compromisos que me impidieron regresar antes.
This is my first post of the year, and I am very happy to finally be back on Hive. 🥰 I would have liked to return weeks ago, but for reasons beyond my control, I couldn't. Although my year didn't start badly—on the contrary, it started really well, thank God—I had commitments that prevented me from returning earlier.
Pero ya estoy de regreso con muchas ganas de seguir compartiendo con todos ustedes mi viaje artístico y en esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes algo que tenía muchas ganas de aprender a hacer desde hace tiempo y son stickers caseros, por fin aprendí a hacerlos, la verdad me gustaron mucho y quedé con ganas de hacer más, así que los más probable es que los vaya compartiendo a medida que los vaya haciendo.
But now I'm back and eager to continue sharing my artistic journey with all of you. This time, I want to share something I've been wanting to learn how to do for a long time: homemade stickers. I finally learned how to make them, and I really liked them. I want to make more, so I'll probably share them as I make them.
Es una técnica muy fácil y económica que ví en Youtube hace unos años y me cayó del cielo porque amo los stickers pero no tengo dinero para gastar en eso, así que decidí aprender a hacerlos y la verdad me encantó, ya sin más preámbulo los invito a ver la listas de materiales y el paso a paso.
It's a very easy and inexpensive technique that I saw on YouTube a few years ago, and it was a godsend because I love stickers but don't have money to spend on them, so I decided to learn how to make them, and I really loved it. - Wax paper (I use the kind that comes with contact paper to protect the adhesive layer).

El primer paso fue dibujar los personajes que quería convertir en stickers mis amados BT21 y la verdad este fue el paso en el que más me tarde, primero dibujando intentando captar a la perfección la esencia de cada personaje y luego coloreando, ustedes saben que la técnica de lápices de colores no es mi fuerte, pero el coloreado de estos personajes fue bastante sencillo y la verdad ame el resultado.
The first step was to draw the characters I wanted to turn into stickers, my beloved BT21, and honestly, this was the step that took me the longest. First, I drew them, trying to perfectly capture the essence of each character, and then I colored them in. You know that coloring with pencils isn't my strong suit, but coloring these characters was pretty easy, and I really loved the result.
En los videos que hay en internet donde enseñan a hacer stickers caseros, lo más normal es que impriman los diseños que quieren convertir en stickers, o hagan dibujos súper sencillos con marcador, en mi caso no tengo impresora y la verdad no quise hacer un gasto en imprimir, se supone que la idea es ahorrar, y tampoco quería hacer dibujos sencillos la idea es poder tener stickers de algo que realmente me guste y aunque sé que es más fácil imprimir la verdad es que le da más significado a los stickers si los dibujo y coloreo yo misma. 🥰
In the videos on the internet that show you how to make homemade stickers, the most common thing is to print out the designs you want to turn into stickers, or make super simple drawings with a marker. In my case, I don't have a printer and I didn't want to spend money on printing. The idea is to save money, and I didn't want to make simple drawings either. The idea is to have stickers of something I really like, and although I know it's easier to print, the truth is that it gives the stickers more meaning if I draw and color them myself. 🥰
El siguiente paso fue recortarlos, como pueden ver en la imagen los recorte dejando un pequeño margen blanco en el borde de cada personaje, eso es algo que me gusta hacer porque siento que se ve el diseño más bonito, incluso lo hago para los dibujos que monto en cartón para pegar en mi pared, eso me recuerda que no los he hecho más debería retomarlo porque prometí llenar una pared con mis propios dibujos.
The next step was to cut them out. As you can see in the image, I cut them out leaving a small white margin around the edge of each character. I like doing this because I think it makes the design look nicer. I even do it for the drawings I mount on cardboard to stick on my wall. That reminds me, I haven't done any more of those. I should get back to it because I promised to fill a wall with my own drawings.
Luego viene el paso de armar o crear los stickers y para eso use papel encerado, lo que hago es reciclar ♻️ el papel que protege el adhesivo del papel contact así que ya saben, si se animan a hacer sus propios stickers ya no boten el papel encerado que trae el papel contact.
Next comes the step of assembling or creating the stickers, and for that I use wax paper. What I do is recycle ♻️ the paper that protects the adhesive on contact paper, so now you know, if you decide to make your own stickers, don't throw away the wax paper that comes with the contact paper.
Lo que hice fue tomar un trozo de papel encerado y le coloque una capa de cinta adhesiva por encima, recuerden que este papel trae dos lados uno que es papel normal y otro que es encerado, van a colocar la cinta adhesiva por el lado encerado del papel para que potega el adhesivo. Después de esa primera capa pondremos los dibujos encima y volvemos a poner una nueva capa de adhesivo por encima.
What I did was take a piece of wax paper and put a layer of adhesive tape on top of it. Remember that this paper has two sides, one that is normal paper and the other that is waxed. You will put the adhesive tape on the waxed side of the paper so that it protects the adhesive. After that first layer, we will put the drawings on top and put a new layer of adhesive on top.
Y quedarán así como ven en la imagen. Les recomiendo tener mucha paciencia a la hora de pegar el adhesivo ya que sí lo hacen muy rápido puede quedar arrugado o con burbujas de aire, tómense su tiempo y también recuerden que vale equivocarse cuando se está aprendiendo a hacer algo, a mí me pasó que pegaba mal la cinta adhesiva y tenía que despgarla y volverla a pegar, siento que no es recomendable porque le resta adhesivo a la cinta, pero como era la primera vez que lo hacía me perdone y seguí adelante. 🥰🫂
And they will look like the image. I recommend being very patient when applying the adhesive, because if you do it too quickly, it can become wrinkled or have air bubbles. Take your time and remember that it's okay to make mistakes when you're learning something new. I ended up sticking the adhesive tape on wrong and had to peel it off and stick it back on. I don't recommend doing this because it reduces the adhesive strength of the tape, but since it was my first time doing it, I forgave myself and carried on. 🥰🫂
Por último recorte cada sticker dejando otra vez un margen al borde, recuerden por favor dejar nuevamente el borde al rededor es súper importante para que no se divida en dos el sticker como el ejemplo que les muestro la en la siguiente foto.
Finally, cut out each sticker, leaving a margin around the edge again. Please remember to leave the border around the edge again; it is very important so that the sticker does not split in two, as shown in the example in the following photo.
Así que para que eso no me vuelva a pasar dejare un borde más ancho al recortarlos.
So, to prevent that from happening again, I will leave a wider border when cutting them out.
Y este fue el resultado, estaba tan emocionada que quise probarlos rápido y pegue estos tres en esta tablita donde pongo las tijeras y otras cositas y ame como quedaron tan lindos y tan bien pegados, así que si son como yo y aman los stickers pero no siempre tienen para comprar y además aman las manualidades y dibujar les recomiendo mucho aprender a hacer estos hermosos stickers, no sé arrepentirán. 🥰
And this was the result. I was so excited that I wanted to try them out right away, so I stuck these three on this little board where I keep my scissors and other little things. I loved how cute they looked and how well they stuck, so if you're like me and love stickers but don't always have money to buy them, and you also love crafts and drawing, I highly recommend learning how to make these beautiful stickers. I don't think you'll regret it. 🥰
