Saludos a todos espero esten pasando un lindo día, espero me puedan acompañar hoy, porque les vengo a mostrar como hice un collar pero estilo gargantilla, usando un nudo plano como tejido,y cuentas reutilizadas,para así crear un collar lindo y auténtico.

Paso 1 / Step 1

Comencé por medir un metro de hilo de lana,más o menos una medida que sea lo suficiente para que sobre y no falte,y que sea de la medida de la cabeza ya que tienen que pasar por la cabeza y ya luego se ajusta al cuello,ya que es un collar sin ningún broche,solo hilo y cuentas. Cuando ya tenía la medida del hilo principal , ahora medio dos más de la misma medida para los lados ya que así voy a comenzar con el tejido. Este tejido se llama nudo plano o cuadrado en el macramé. Este dudo se puede hacer en este tipo de hilo y quedó muy artesanal ,me recuerda a la bisutería que venden en las playas.

I started by measuring a meter of wool yarn, roughly enough so there would be some extra but not too little, and the right length for the head since it has to go over the head and then adjust around the neck, as it's a necklace without any clasp, just yarn and beads. Once I had the length of the main yarn, I measured two more of the same length for the sides, as that's how I'll begin weaving. This weave is called a flat or square knot in macrame. I doubt it can be done with this type of yarn, and it turned out very handcrafted; it reminds me of the jewelry they sell on the beaches.

Ya para este paso iba un poco más adelantado el tejido,en este momento ya estaba contando los nidos porque me estaba acercando a la parte en dónde ya tenía que ir colocando las cuentas,y entonces no quería que se viera desordenado.

By this stage the weaving was a little further along; at this point I was already counting the nests because I was approaching the part where I had to start placing the beads, and I didn't want it to look messy.

Paso 3 / Step 3

Y aquí tenía puesta ya varias cuentas,la cuentas van en el hilo base,y así los hilos de los laso van siguiendo con el tejido pero alrededor de las cuentas y luego iba tejiendo varios nudos más para así colocar la siguiente cuenta, dejando la misma distancia para que se vea bien. Las cuentas que estoy usando en el collar,son las cuentas de una pulsera que se me daño porque se óxido, entonces las cuentas seguían intactas para seguir teniendo un nuevo uso,así hago yo con las cuentas que me van quedando,las dejo para hacer algo nuevo siempre y cuando estén en buenas condiciones.

And here I already had several beads attached. The beads go on the base thread, and the loop threads continue the weaving around the beads. Then I wove several more knots to place the next bead, leaving the same distance so it looks good. The beads I'm using in the necklace are from a bracelet that was damaged because it rusted. The beads were still intact and could be reused. That's what I do with any leftover beads; I keep them to make something new as long as they're in good condition.

Paso 4 / Step 4

Entre cada nudo y cuenta no me había dado cuenta que ya está llegando hasta donde ya la última cuenta,la verdad este tipo de manualidades como la bisutería,me concentro tanto en el tejido y en como va a ir colocada la cuenta,es una forma de solo dedicarse a concentrar la mente en lo que estás haciendo y olvidarse un poco de los problemas.

Between each knot and bead, I hadn't realized that I was already getting to the last bead. The truth is, with this type of craft, like jewelry making, I concentrate so much on the weaving and how the bead will be placed. It's a way to just focus your mind on what you're doing and forget about your problems for a while.

Paso 5 / Step 5

Y así se ve el collar con el tejido finalizado, ahora solo me faltaba un último detalle y es hacerle un nudo ajustable,le hice uno que une las dos partes de los lados del collar,y así sea más fácil de colocar,si no me equivoco se llama nudo fransiscano,o de barril.

And this is how the necklace looks with the finished weaving. Now I only needed one last detail, which is to make an adjustable knot. I made one that joins the two sides of the necklace, making it easier to put on. If I'm not mistaken, it's called a Franciscan knot, or barrel knot.
