🇪🇸 ~ ¡Esta saga esta saliendo infinitamente mejor de lo que pude imaginar!, los comentarios me hacen súper feliz y noto que las personas sí están leyendo lo que escribo, lo que considero un avance porque reducir el texto pero enriquecer el contenido ha sido una de las metas que me he propuesto para mi estancia en Hive.

🇺🇸 ~ This saga is turning out infinitely better than I could have imagined! The comments make me super happy and I notice that people are reading what I write, which I consider an advance because reducing the text but enriching the content has been one of the goals I have set for my stay in Hive.

Hace unos dias revisé los trending en los hastag de COSPLAY o ANIME y encontré que estaba encabezando la lista (siempre es emocionante ver tu post en los primeros puestos de una etiqueta en Hive, porque aquí todo el sistema se encuentra libre de algoritmos locos como los de las otras redes sociales).

A few days ago I checked the trending on the COSPLAY or ANIME hastag and found that I was topping the list (it's always exciting to see your post at the top of a tag on Hive, because here the whole system is free of crazy algorithms like those of the other social networks).

I took some screenshots and shared them on my Instagram stories (I'm trying to be more active there, you can see in the featured stories some photos from this year and some of my creations), I've been thinking these days about ways to reflect my activity on Hive there. En el primer post de esta serie vimos cómo realizar una plantilla pulcra y precisa que encajara perfectamente con los patrones de esta pieza. Hoy vamos a transferir el diseño al chaqueta terminada.

In the first post of this series we saw how to make a neat and precise template that would fit perfectly with the patterns of this piece. Today we are going to transfer the design to the finished jacket.

Aunque este paso puede hacerse con lápiz B2 o B6, el grafito se borra fácilmente a medida que manipulamos las prendas, por eso recomiendo utilizar estilógrafo con mucha delicadeza.

Although this step can be done with a B2 or B6 pencil, the graphite is easily erased as we manipulate the garments, so I recommend using a stylograph with great delicacy.

Vamos a refinar las partes mas finas y pequeñas del diseño de arabescos con las partes sobrantes que reservamos del corte inicial de los patrones.

We will refine the finer and smaller parts of the arabesque design with the leftover parts we reserved from the initial cutting of the patterns.

Estos arabescos individuales también nos ayudaran a comprobar que las dimensiones de las formas de cada lado de la chaqueta son idénticas. Podemos reparar una ultima vez antes de empezar a "delinear" con la pistola de silicón liquido las partes mas finas.

These individual arabesques will also help us to check that the dimensions of the shapes on each side of the jacket are identical. We can repair one last time before starting to "outline" with the liquid silicone gun the thinner parts.

El truco para obtener líneas fluidas sin cortes del silicón es dejar que la pistola de silicón caliente hasta el punto de que el silicón salga casi liquido, desconectarla, y esperar 1 o 2 minutos antes de empezar.

The trick to getting smooth lines without silicone cuts is to let the silicone gun heat to the point where the silicone comes out almost liquid, unplug it, and wait 1 or 2 minutes before starting.

Repetiremos el proceso en toda la chaqueta, primero en el pecho, luego en la cola, después en los puños de las mangas y finalmente el cuello.

Repeat the process on the entire jacket, first on the chest, then on the tail, then on the sleeve cuffs and finally on the collar.

Ahora nuestro bordado en silicón y el fondo de tela necesitan ser sellados, yo quería utilizar vinyl liquido pero no conseguí color blanco, así que utilice pegamento para madera. La aplicación se hace con un pincel de paleta suave.

Now our silicone embroidery and fabric background need to be sealed, I wanted to use liquid vinyl but I couldn't get white, so I used wood glue. The application is done with a soft paddle brush.

Para darle el efecto de metal, necesitamos oleos / acrílico decorativo profesional de tres colores: Tierra Siena Natural, Amarillo Mate, y Metal Oro.

To give the metal effect, we need oils / professional decorative acrylics in three colors: Natural Sienna Earth, Matte Yellow, and Gold Metal.

La aplicación será con los dedos, y para las esquinas nos ayudaremos con un delineador de cerda suave, así evitaremos marcas de la beta del pincel o acumulación de producto en las curvas.

The application will be with the fingers, and for the corners we will use a soft bristle eyeliner to avoid marks from the beta of the brush or accumulation of product in the curves.

Esta es nuestra base para trabajar el efecto metalizado. Notaran que cuando el producto seque completamente su textura y aspecto es impermeable, también cuando doblen la prenda verán que no se cuartea. Repetiremos el proceso en mangas y cuello.

This is our base to work the metallic effect. You will notice that when the product dries completely its texture and appearance is waterproof, also when you fold the garment you will see that it does not crack. We will repeat the process on the sleeves and collar.

Para el siguiente color de pintura (amarillo mate), la aplicación será con la técnica del pincel en seco. Esta técnica consiste en tomar un poco de pintura en el pincel y descargarla frotando con movimientos y toques circulares en un pedazo de cartón, hasta que el pincel solo manche sutilmente. En ese momento aplicamos toques sobre todo el patrón de arabescos.

For the next paint color (matte yellow), the application will be with the dry brush technique. This technique consists of taking a little bit of paint in the brush and unloading it by rubbing it with circular movements and touches on a piece of cardboard, until the brush only stains subtly. At that moment we apply touches over the whole arabesque pattern.

Finalmente (y con mucha emoción), utilizamos la misma técnica para aplicar la ultima capa de pintura, el color Oro Metálico cobra nuevas dimensiones cuando se aplica con toquecitos en seco en lugar de brochas cargadas con pigmento.

Finally (and with much excitement), we used the same technique to apply the last coat of paint, the Metallic Gold color takes on new dimensions when applied with dry dabs instead of pigment-laden brushes.

Sellamos por última vez con algo de resina acriplástica, y solo después de esperar 48 horas mas a que el pigmento seque completamente (so pena de arrastrarlo y perder el efecto de la brocha en seco). Para el remate de todas las esquinas utilice torchón trenzado de plastico color dorado.

We seal for the last time with some acrylic resin, and only after waiting another 48 hours for the pigment to dry completely (otherwise we will drag it and lose the effect of the dry brush). For the finishing of all the corners I used gold-colored plastic braided strand.

Logré mi meta en esta etapa del proyecto: Un efecto metálico agradable, con relieve, hecho con materiales con los que pudiera conseguir un resultado resistente (porque el universo sabe cuánto odio los trajes que se dañan la primera vez que son utilizados).

I achieved my goal at this stage of the project: A nice metallic effect, with relief, made with materials with which I could achieve a resistant result (because the universe knows how much I hate suits that get damaged the first time they are used).

De estas fotos han pasado varios años y hoy día puedo decirles que el bordado esta en perfectas condiciones, impecable, no se ha quebrado ni malformado, y tampoco a perdido brillo, así que puedo asegurarles que lo que sea que hagan, su prenda tendrá muchos años de vida útil.

Several years have passed since these photos were taken and today I can tell you that the embroidery is in perfect condition, impeccable, has not cracked or malformed, and has not lost its shine, so I can assure you that whatever you do, your garment will have many years of useful life.
