Christmas Tree Ornaments
I can't get enough of them personally and I wish I could craft all the ideas that have popped up in my mind when it comes to Christmas tree DIYs. But I can't, as I won't have time for other crafts. But of course, I can share as many with you as possible. Today I would like to share with you a budget variant of a Christmas tree craft. You can enhance the design a bit by using other materials or simplify something if you like, I will discuss these options below.
Tools and supplies
- 3 meters of tulle
- flat stone
- paper straw
- scissors
- glue gun
- star bead
Variety tips
As I had some other ideas on how to execute this craft, I decided to share some other inspiration I had with you, maybe you can pick one of the other options instead of using the supplies I used for my ornament.
- Use several colors of tulle
- Instead of a stone, use a handmade stone from clay/playdough
- Instead of paper straw, use a wooden stick
- Use a wooden circle as the bottom of the ornament
- Create your own topper with clay or use another application
These are just a few ideas, I bet there's something in there that you can use in case you didn't have all the supplies at home.
Instructions
Tip: Although it seems like a quick and simple craft, I can tell you upfront that it may take a bit longer than expected. I thought this was going to be an easy craft myself but soon noticed that the knotting was a bit of a struggle (especially further in the process) and that eventually, it took me much longer than I thought before starting. I spread finishing this craft over a few days, only 30 minutes at once max. In total, I was knotting the tulle spread over 4 days, as it was a very detailed craft and needed to be done precisely.
The End Result
I love how such a simple and budget craft can be very cool when it's finished. I love the combination of the tree with the gnome. The other craft is made at my daughter's kindergarten, we bought it at the Christmas market. So creative, don't you think?
Not so creative yourself?
But still interested in my handmade products? I know not everyone is creative, and there are also a lot of people out there that lack the time to be creative but would love to purchase handmade items instead. Look no further as I'm your girl! My content is only showcasing a tiny bit of what I can create, I truly love designing new things and over time you will see the diversity of handmade items I design with love. Don't hesitate to reach out even if you haven't seen a certain item that you're looking for.
You can contact me if you'd like to order one of the items I've showcased in my content on Hive, or when you want something custom made. I've decided to accept $HIVE and $HBD as a payment method for my handmade items to make it an easy transaction for Hive users.
