Good afternoon, friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm happy to stop by and share a lovely idea with you. This time, I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions for making a beautiful Christmas card. Every year I share a nice card idea, and this year is no exception. These ideas work well for cards, for writing a sweet message, or for children's letters to receive their gifts. This time, I wanted to make it different, so it opens in the center and has a Christmas tree inside. It's a fairly simple idea, since the inside is what has the most color or decorative touches; in the end, the message is the most important thing.

- Cartulina corrugada roja.
- Foami escarchado dorado.
- Foami verde oscuro.
- Foami verde claro.
- Pinturas y marcadores.
- Pegamento.

🌟 PROCEDIMIENTO | 🌟 PROCESS
✨PASO 1:
Lo primero que debemos hacer es dibujar el patrón con el diseño de la tarjeta en una hoja blanca, para luego recortarlo, calcarlo en la parte trasera de la cartulina corrugada roja y recortar. Las medidas de la tarjeta fueron 16 cm x 12 cm y doblamos los laterales a los 4 cm para así poder cerrar la tarjeta.
✨STEP 1:
The first thing we need to do is draw the card design template on a white sheet of paper, then cut it out, trace it onto the back of the red corrugated cardstock, and cut it out. The card measures 16 cm x 12 cm, and we fold the sides over at 4 cm to close the card.

✨PASO 2:
Ahora vamos con el escrito. Así que tomamos una hoja blanca y recortamos un rectángulo de 11.5 cm x 7.3 cm. Seguidamente, escribimos el mensaje deseado con un lápiz, para luego remarcar con marcador, que en mi caso utilicé uno negro y rojo. Además, dibujé un par de hojas de acebo en las esquinas y algunos puntos con marcadores en los espacios en blanco de la hoja. Finalmente, pegué la hoja en la parte interna de la tarjeta.
✨STEP 2:
Now let's move on to the writing. So, we take a white sheet of paper and cut out a rectangle measuring 11.5 cm x 7.3 cm. Next, we write the desired message with a pencil, then outline it with a marker; in my case, I used a black and red one. I also drew a couple of holly leaves in the corners and some dots with markers in the blank spaces on the paper. Finally, I glued the paper to the inside of the card.

✨PASO 3:
Ahora sí, vamos con la decoración principal de la portada. Así que primero hice el diseño en una hoja blanca, pensé en un árbol gordito y que cada piso fuera de un color distinto, separados uno del otro, para que dé un lindo contraste y, obviamente, la infaltable estrella en la punta del árbol. Al tener listo el diseño, es momento de transferir a los colores correspondientes de foami, como explico a continuación.
✨Estrella: 2 cm x 2 cm en foami escarchado dorado.
✨Capas del árbol en foami verde claro: 3.5 cm x 2 cm y 5.5 cm x 2.5 cm.
✨Capas del árbol en foami verde oscuro: 4 cm x 2.5 cm y 9.5 cm x 3 cm.
✨STEP 3:
Now, let's move on to the main decoration of the cover. So first I made the design on a white sheet of paper. I envisioned a chubby tree with each tier a different color, separated from the others, to create a nice contrast, and of course, the essential star at the top. Once the design was ready, it was time to transfer it to the corresponding colors of foam, as I explain below.
✨Star: 2 cm x 2 cm in gold glitter foam.
✨Tree tiers in light green foam: 3.5 cm x 2 cm and 5.5 cm x 2.5 cm.
✨Tree tiers in dark green foam: 4 cm x 2.5 cm and 9.5 cm x 3 cm.

✨PASO 4:
Al estar las piezas listas, es momento de dar color a los bordes de cada una de las piezas, menos a las de foami escarchado. En este caso, para las piezas en foami verde claro, utilicé un marcador verde más oscuro y, para las piezas en verde oscuro, utilicé un color negro y dejamos secar. Al estar seco, es momento de pegar las piezas hasta formar el árbol.
✨STEP 4:
With the pieces ready, it was time to color the edges of each piece, except for the glitter foam pieces. In this case, for the light green foam pieces, I used a darker green marker, and for the dark green pieces, I used black. Then we let it dry. Once dry, it's time to glue the pieces together to form the tree.

✨PASO 5:
Ya casi para finalizar, pinté algunas esferas con pintura roja, solo en las capas más claras del árbol. Seguidamente pegué el árbol a una de las dos pestañas por donde abre la tarjeta y pinté algunos puntos blancos tanto por dentro como por fuera en los espacios vacíos de la cartulina corrugada.
✨STEP 5:
Almost finished, I painted some of the ornaments with red paint, only on the lighter layers of the tree. Next, I glued the tree to one of the two tabs where the card opens and painted some white dots both inside and outside the empty spaces on the corrugated cardstock.
