Hello friends and welcome back to another creative at home diy tutorial ...in today blog post i share with you an affordable way and all steps i used to create a fake rose flower which i used for my valentine picture shoot at home...if you are interested i learning this, read on below.
First of all i want to show you the list of materials you would need for this diy,and below is a picture of all the materials together...
List of materials in the purple above
- scissors
- Toilet paper
- Measuring tape
- Red poster colour or any color of ur choice
- Small Paint brush
- Super glue
- Pencil
- Old fake rose flower stem
Now that you are familiar with the materials needed, below are the steps to creating a rose flower diy style
STEPS FOR THIS TUTORIAL
- In the first step i did a measuring of the toilet paper sizes i wanted which i am going to used to make rose petals......
- So For the sizes i measured and cut 10 pieces of 3x6 cm of toilet paper and also cut 16 pieces a 4x6cm of toilet paper....the 10 pieces are going to be used inside while the 16 pieces which a little bigger would be used to shape the outside petals of the rose flower
- In the next step, after measuring and cutting the toilet paper i am going to be painting all pieces of toilet paper with the red poster colour saturating them evenly to give me a realistic replication of a rose flower
- After painting the entire pieces front to back i left them to dry for about 2hours and in the above picture is how it turned out.
- For the next step i bent the middle of the paper into half and after that i cut around edges in a incomplete oval shape to creat a mimic of a rose petal shape
- After cutting the edges all piecse into an incomplete oval shape , this i the result
I took each of the petal and slightly bent opposite sides of their edges on the top backwards ...this i did to mimick a curve in the petals of roses

- In the next step i rolled a piece of toilet paper into a small ball and this i am going to glue to the top of the old fake rose flowers stem using the super glue .
- After gluing the toilet paper ball onto the top of the fake stem i began gluing the petals around the paper ball
- To do this process, i firstly took smaller 3x6 cm petals and glued them around the ball on their middle the smaller petals where going to be in the middle replicating the middle of a rose flower petals then i twisted the top to seal the top after gluing two petals to the ball
- I continued gluing the petals onto the covered ball repetitively starting with using the smaller petal before moving onto the bigger petals
- After that, the petal application was done
- In this next step i created the ** SEPAL** of the fake flower using one of the fake leaves from the old rose flower stem .....And to do this, i cut 6 pieces of the fake leave into sword shapes to make sepals and then i glued the bigger side round the HIP part of the rose flower
And it was finished,here is the result
