I'm sure we all need a bag like this one that I bring you in today's Project or Diy, because it happens that you keep a blister of pills in your bag or purse and with the daily movement, when you want to look for a pill in specific, it turns out that they came out of the blister and many times we can't even identify which pill it is. In this time of rains and viruses, one should always have pills in one's wallet that allow us to solve a health problem at first, such as to relieve a headache, a general malaise, an anti-allergy, an antacid, for example. So today's Diy will be to make this Utility Accessory.

Estoy segura que todos necesitamos un bolsito como éste que les traigo en el Proyecto o Diy de hoy, porque pasa que uno guarda en el bolso o cartera un blister de pastillas y con el movimiento del día a día, cuando uno quiere buscar una pastilla en específico, resulta que se salieron del blister y muchas veces ni podemos identificar que pastilla es. En esta época de lluvias y de virus uno siempre debe tener en la cartera pastillas que nos permitan solventar un malestar de salud de primer momento, como para aliviar un dolor de cabeza, un malestar general, un antialérgico, un antiácido, por ejemplo. Así que el Diy de hoy será realizar este Accesorio Utilitario.

As always when I develop a project, I imagine which ones I want it to have, so that they solve a situation or improve it. In this case I wanted it to have the following qualities:

• Make it expandable
• That I can divide the pills and they will not move
• Make it transparent so I can see exactly what I have
• Make it a comfortable size
• That can be opened and closed with a plastic clasp
• Make it easy and quick to make

Como siempre que elaboro un proyecto me imagino cuales son las cuales que quiero que tenga, para que solucionen una situación o la mejoren. En este caso quería que tuviese las siguientes cualidades:

• Que sea expandible
• Que pueda dividir las pastillas y no se movieran
• Que sea transparente y así poder ver exactamente lo que tengo
• Que sea de un tamaño cómodo
• Que se pueda abrir y cerrar con un broche plástico
• Que sea fácil y rápido de confeccionar

I cut both fabrics into a rectangle of 15cms by 35cms each. Only one piece of each fabric will be needed. With the ruler, preferably a square, I make sure to make the rectangle well so that it is without irregularities.

Ambas telas las corté en un rectángulo de 15cms por 35cms cada una. Solo se necesitará una pieza de cada tela. Con la regla, de preferencia una escuadra me aseguro de realizar bien el rectángulo para que quedé sin irregularidades.

I cut the transparent plastic into three pieces to be the internal compartments. Two of the same size of 15cms by 10cms and one of 15cms by 7cms. and I distributed them in the way that can be seen in the following collage.

El Plástico transparente lo corté en tres piezas para que sean los compartimientos internos. Dos del mismo tamaño de 15cms por 10cms y una de 15cms por 7cms. y las distribuí de la forma que se aprecia en el siguiente collage.

From the printed fabric I also marked with the ruler, there were a total of five strips of 3cms by 15cms, I cut them out.

De la tela estampada también marqué con la regla, fueron en total cinco tiras de 3cms por 15cms, las recorté.

Now to the three plastic pieces I am going to sew a strip to each one on one of its long edges.
I sew with a straight stitch, turn the strip over and sew it back on so it's closed on both sides.

Ahora a las tres piezas plásticas le voy a coser una tira a cada uno en uno de sus bordes largos.
Coso con costura recta, le doy vuelta a la tira y la vuelto a coser para que quede cerrada en ambos lados.

I place these strips that I have just sewn on the unicolor fabric, so that they are the edge where the pills will be able to be inserted and accessed. The other end of each transparent plastic must be fixed and closed.

Estas tiras que acabo de coser las ubico en la tela unicolor, para que sean el borde por donde se va a poder meter las pastillas y acceder a ellas. El otro extremo de cada plástico transparente debe quedar fijo y cerrado.

Only two of the three plastics need to be sewn closed at their other ends, since the last one that will be down in the pill box will be closed with the final seam. So, for the two plastics that do need to be closed, I use a strip of patterned fabric to make it look better, and not just a seam. At this time I also sew the ends of the plastics, I mean the outer sides.

Solo dos de los tres plásticos necesitan que se cierren con costura en su otro extremos, ya que el último que quedará abajo en el pastillero, se cerrará con la costura final. Entonces, para los dos plásticos que si necesitan ser cerrados utilizo una tira de tela estampada para que se vea mejor, y no solo una costura. En este momento también coso los extremos de los plásticos, me refiero a los lados externos.

This is how the edges of the compartments look and since I already sewed the ends of the sides, they are already formed with that.

Así lucen los bordes de los compartimientos y como ya cosí los extremos de los lados, ya con eso quedan formados.

Now I place the patterned fabric and the plain piece that contains the compartments right side up, and fix with pins.

Ahora coloco derecho con derecho la tela estampada y la pieza unicolor que contiene los compartimientos, y fijo con alfileres.

The side where the smaller pocket will be, that side will be the one that closes the bag with the clasp, when you get to that step. But on that side precisely, I draw some edges or curved corners, for this I use any object, a plate, a cup, whatever, I did it with an adhesive tape. I only mark with the pen, I don't cut it because it will make the sewing easier.

El lado donde quedará el bolsillo más pequeño, ese lado será el que cierre el bolso con el broche, cuando llegue a ese paso. Pero en ese lado precisamente, dibujo unos bordes o esquinas curvas, para ello me ayudo de cualquier objeto, un plato, una taza, lo que sea, yo lo hice con una cinta adhesiva. Solo marco con el bolígrafo, no lo corto porque así se hará más fácil la costura.

I sew everything around it at the foot of the machine, and leaving a space without sewing, since that is where I will turn the piece.

Coso todo el alrededor a pie de máquina, y dejando un espacio sin coser, ya que por ahí voltearé la pieza.

Now if I can cut the corners that I rounded and I also make notches so that the piece can be turned well.

Ahora si puedo cortar las esquinas que redondeé y también hago piquetes para que se pueda voltear bien la pieza.

I turn the piece to the right, through the opening.

Volteo la pieza al derecho, por la apertura.

This is what the flipped piece looks like. It looks good, the plastic did not suffer, that is, it did not wrinkle.

A shelf seam is made all the way around, as close to the edge as possible, and folding the area that had been left unstitched so that it can also be sewn with no difference from the rest.

Se realiza una costura de repise por todo el alrededor, lo más cerca del borde que se pueda, y doblando el área que había dejado sin coser para que se cosa también sin que haya diferencia con el resto.

To the lower pocket or compartment, I make a central seam so that the pills that are looser can be secured in that place.

Al bolsillo o compartimiento inferior, le realizo una costura central para que se pueda asegurar en ese lugar las pastillas que queden más sueltas.

The whole sewing thing is finished, you can see the fold that I want the bag to have so that it closes.

Ya terminó todo el tema de la costura, se puede apreciar el doblez que quiero que tenga el bolso para que cierre.

The end of the smallest compartment is the one that will function as a flap, it measures 10cm on the rounded edges, I mark the center at 5cm and I am going to place the first piece of the brooch. I open with the punch and place the piece that has the tip.

El extremo del compartimiento más pequeño, es el que hará la función de solapa, este mide 10cms en los bordes redondeados, marco el centro en los 5cms y voy a colocar la primera pieza del broche. Abro con el punzón y coloco la pieza que tiene la punta.

In the internal part the tip is visualized, there I place the internal part of the brooch and press with the pliers. You can see that there is no longer a point, as it flattens out when using the pliers, and it should look like this:

En la parte interna se visualiza la punta, ahí coloco la parte interna del broche y presiono con el alicate. Se puede ver que ya no hay punta, ya que se aplana al usar el alicate, y debe lucir así:

Now I close the flap and see where I should place the other piece of the brooch. I do the same procedure as with the previous piece, only I am going to place the piece that is a point on the inside of the bag.

Ahora cierro la solapa y observo donde debo colocar la otra pieza del broche. Hago el mismo procedimiento que con la pieza anterior, solo que la pieza que es una punta la voy a colocar en la parte interna del bolso.

I press again with the pliers and the whole making of this bag is ready.

Presiono nuevamente con el alicate y ya está lista toda la confección de este bolso.

I was very satisfied with this design, the first time I make a pillbox, I had always used a pocket in my wallet for it, but I wanted to make something that had all the characteristics that I considered a bag like that should have. See how beautiful it looks... ❤️❤️

Quedé muy satisfecha con este diseño, primera vez que hago un pastillero, siempre había usado un bolsillo de mi cartera para ello, pero quería confeccionar algo que tuviese todas las características que consideraba debía tener un bolsito como ese. Ve que hermoso se ve... ❤️❤️

Pensarás que tengo muchas pastillas encima, pero siempre ando auxiliando a alguien con pastillas, cuando una amiga le duele el vientre o la cabeza, siempre sabe que cuenta con una pastilla conmigo. Es algo que siempre me ha gustado, y es que me preocupa cuando alguien tiene un dolor, y no puedo auxiliarlo, así que siempre he tenido pastillas y mis amigos y familiares ya lo saben.

The Plastic Clasp is a Plus, but if you don't have this tool, you can use a magnetized clasp, which is very easy to place and they are beautiful, also a velcro, or even a button.

El Broche Plástico es un Plus, pero si no tienes esta herramienta, se puede usar un broche imantado, que es muy fácil de colocar y son bellos, también un velcro, o hasta un botón.
