Saludos arañitas u abejitas, ambas son muy laboriosas, a la hora de hacer cosas, asi somos muchas y muchos de nosotros que nos gusta las manualidades, que con nuestras manitas bendecidas lo que nos proponemos hacer lo hacemos.
No se si seran todas en este caso las mujeres, que creo que si, nos gustan los accesorios para llevar en la cabeza como cintillos, lazos, ganchetas, tambien turbantes, los primeros en su mayoria los he hecho yo a mi gusto, pero el ultimo aunque me regalaron uno hace un tiempo, no habia buscado de como hacerlo, pero como en todas las redes sociales hay videos de como hacerlo, luego de ver varios, entendi como era y aquí les muestro como lo hice y el resultado final.
Materiales:
Mono tipo leggins.
Tijera, aguja e hilo.
Deshacedor de costura.
Yesquero.
Algo para decorar.
Paso a paso:
Use un leggins o un cotton-lycra ya que debe ser una que estire, que sea elastica, flexible, como este leggins ya no lo usaba ya que en las entrepiernas estaba roto, lo habia reparado otras veces, pero ya no aguantaba otro remiendo y el resto del mismo estaba entero que me daba una lastima.
1.-Con un deshacedor de costura, descosi todo el leggins, poco a poco, la parte de la pretina la deje completa, de seguro mas adelante se me ocurrira algo. Ya descosido todo, le quite las hilachas, dejar la tela limpia.
2.-Acomode bien la tela estiradita por la parte que mas estire esto es muy importante.
3.-En algunos videos vi que los turbantes tienen varias medidas según quien los use desde niñas de meses, hasta mujeres adultas. Como es para mi la medida es de 60 x 60 cms un cuadrado. Pero igual por si acaso, con la cinta metrica, tome la medida de contorno de mi cabeza y me dio justo 60 cms.
4.-Tambien se puede sacar un patron para este gorro en papel con las medidas pero a la mitad es decir de 60 en 30cms. Pero tambien se puede hacer directo sobre la tela.
5.-La tela se dobla a la mitad que el dobles de la misma quede en la parte de abajo, si se quiere hacer con doble tela, les recomiendo que si, queda mejor y mas firme.
6.-De la punta donde esta el dobles de la tela por un lado hacia afuera se va midiendo donde llegue los 30 cms, hasta llegar a la punta arriba, que vamos haciendo como un semicirculo, pueden usar un marcador o tiza de costura que no tengo, porque como la tela es oscura debe ser un marcador mas oscuro como negro que use, si es la tiza que sea blanca. Luego uni los punto haciendo como un semicirculo.
7.-Recortamos cin cuidado, lo bueno de esta tela es que no deshilacha.
8.-Ya recortado abrimos la tela y vemos como quedo, como en la parte recta quedo abierta, coso en la maquina ahi y luego volteo, que la costura quede por dentro, en este caso, si la tela el dobles queda bien no es necesario la costura, a menos que hagan como un bordadito con la maquina.
9.-En la parte superior como son dos piezas de tela, fijo con afileres desde el borde hacia adentro como 1 cms, que luego con aguja e hilo del mismo color de la tela preferiblemente voy cosiendo con puntadas algo grandes.
10.-Cuando dije de las puntadas grandes es porque al llegar al otro extremo debo ruchar la tela lo mas pegadito que se pueda, con los hilos de los extremos hacemos varios nudos para que no se suelte, y damos unas puntadas, cortamos el hilo.
11.-Queda como ven en la siguiente foto, pareciera como un circulo. Me lo pruebo y me queda muy bien.
12.-Recortamos dos circulos de 4 cms de diametros, estos son para tapar los centros de los ruchados por dentro y por arriba, sugieren en el video que se pegue con silicon, yo prefiero coserlos, asi lo hice.
13.-Los turbantes llevan varias decoraciones al gusto de uno como: lazos, flores, perlas, otros, yo decidi hacer como una flor, para esto recorte un rectangulo o una tira larga de 50 cms por 5 cms de ancho. Que despues con el yesquero le queme el borde y asi le da otra textura y forma.
14.-Corte otro circulo mas pequeño, lo cosi en esta flor y lo decore con azerina, que es como un gris plomo, para que le diera brillo. Luego aquí si ya para terminar si lo pegue sobre el turbante con silicon caliente, cuidado de no quemarse.
15.-La prueba final, me quedo es bello….

I’ve made most of the first ones myself to my liking, but even though I was given a turban a while back, I hadn’t looked into how to make one. But since there are videos on all social media platforms showing how to do it, after watching several, I figured it out, and here I’ll show you how I did it and the final result.

Step-by-step:
Use leggings or cotton-lycra fabric, as it needs to be stretchy, elastic, and flexible. I wasn’t wearing these leggings anymore because they were torn in the crotch; I had repaired them before, but they couldn’t take another patch, and the rest of them were still in good condition, so I felt bad throwing them away.
1.-Using a seam ripper, I unpicked the entire leggings, little by little. I left the waistband intact; I’m sure I’ll think of something for it later. Once everything was unpicked, I removed the loose threads to leave the fabric clean.
2.-Make sure the fabric is stretched out well on the side that stretches the most; this is very important.
3.-In some videos, I saw that turbans come in various sizes depending on the wearer, ranging from infants to adult women. Since this is for me, the size is 60 x 60 cm—a square. But just in case, I used a measuring tape to measure the circumference of my head, and it came out to exactly 60 cm.
4.-You can also draw a pattern for this hat on paper with the measurements, but halved—that is, 60 cm by 30 cm. However, you can also draw it directly onto the fabric.
5.-Fold the fabric in half so that the fold is at the bottom. If you want to make it with double fabric, I recommend doing so—it looks better and is sturdier.
6.-Starting from the tip where the fabric is doubled on one side, measure outward until you reach 30 cm, continuing up to the top tip, forming a semicircle. You can use a marker or sewing chalk (which I don’t have), but since the fabric is dark, you should use a darker marker, such as black; if using chalk, use white. 7.-Cut carefully; the good thing about this fabric is that it doesn’t fray.
8.-Once cut out, unfold the fabric and check how it looks. Since the straight edge is open, I sew it on the machine there and then turn it over so the seam is on the inside. In this case, if the fabric looks good when folded, sewing isn’t necessary, unless you want to add a little embroidery with the machine.
9.-At the top, since there are two pieces of fabric, I pin them together from the edge inward about 1 cm. Then, using a needle and thread that matches the fabric color, I sew them together with slightly large stitches.
- When I mentioned the large stitches, it’s because once I reach the other end, I need to gather the fabric as tightly as possible. Using the threads at the ends, I tie several knots to keep it from coming loose, then sew a few stitches and cut the thread.
11.-As you can see in the photo below, it looks like a circle. I try it on and it fits me perfectly.
12.-Cut out two circles with a 4 cm diameter; these are to cover the centers of the ruffles on the inside and top. The video suggests using silicone glue, but I prefer to sew them on, which is what I did.
13.-Turbans can be decorated in various ways to suit your taste, such as with bows, flowers, pearls, and more. I decided to make one that looked like a flower. To do this, I cut out a rectangle or a long strip measuring 50 cm by 5 cm wide. Then, using a lighter, I singed the edges to give it a different texture and shape.
14.-Cut out another smaller circle, sew it onto this flower, and decorate it with azerina, which is a lead-gray color, to give it some shine. Then, to finish, glue it onto the turban with hot glue, being careful not to burn yourself.
15.-The final test—I think it looks beautiful….
