I just finished one of my favorite books ever.
The battle of good and evil is just getting started in book one. There are sooo many great characters that are being built in this book. They are currently 4 books in the series and book five comes out in December. I hope I can make it through all of them before it releases.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite parts. Please do not read on if you do not want spoilers. I do not want to ruin parts of the book for you and I do give away some of the parts in this post.
Kaladin considers running away with Bridge Four after Dalinar's army is abandoned for dead. I love when he realizes that he has to protect those that cannot protect themselves and he goes to save them. A massive shift in Kaladins life happens with that decision.
After that scene above Dalinar trades Oathbringer for the bridge crews. Dalinar kept his promise to kaladin and he saved the bridge crews and finally gave away his guilt. He told Kaladin that every life is priceless.
The truth about what happened between Amaram and Kaladin. This made me so mad.
The revelation of Szeth's master that made moments from the first of the book make more sense.
The book does start out slower but after that first bridge run it gets you hooked and there is no stopping it.
