Friends of the Nature Observer community, Lesser Meadow Katydids or in scientific language Conocephalus are small insects that are often found in meadows and other grassy areas. They have a slender body and are usually green with some variations of brown or yellow and also red when they are small.
Likewise, its long and transparent wings function to fly from one place to another. These katydids also have long antennae, which they use to sense their surroundings.
One of the characteristics of Lesser Meadow Katydids is their ability to produce loud sounds.
