The whole body of this caterpillar is green and people where I live call it the soursop leaf caterpillar. It is called the soursop leaf caterpillar because this caterpillar is a type of herbivore that eats leaves and its main food is soursop leaves. The following photo is a soursop leaf caterpillar perched on a soursop plant stem.

The Tailed Jay Caterpillar will eventually undergo metamorphosis which produces a green-winged butterfly. The soursop caterpillar is green all over its body with protrusions like horns or hooks on its head and tail. There are three pairs of hooks on the caterpillar's head and a pair of hooks on . This soursop caterpillar has a dominant green color, the same as the color of soursop leaves.
