Atop a simple blade of grass, a fly of the genus Sturmia rested peacefully. Its small, gray and black body, with dazzling red eyes, was a sight to behold. When many people think of flies, they immediately imagine a disgusting insect. A creature that never receives praise. Yet, they remain undeterred, they continue to live, brightening the wild. A previously unassuming green leaf, thanks to the presence of this fly, becomes even more vibrant and colorful. The fly's actions are simple, yet their impact on the surrounding environment is extraordinary.
A gentle breeze invites the grass leaf to dance. Its small body is carried along by the movement of the leaf as it is played by the wind. Although the area where it lands is constantly moving, the fly remains stoic. It remains on the surface of the leaf, unwavering and unperturbed. Beneath its small, often unnoticed body lies a steadfastness often lacking in much larger creatures. It never complains. He lived his life on his own terms until someone took the time to just look at him.
