This one will be quick for real, just thought I'd give readers a quick update on some recent happenings.
The great news is that we've found a new 3d creation team that has a reasonable quote and we'll be happy to work with.
Many said not to create 3d games starting out, we were aware of the costs and implications but we decided to power through with it anyway so our flagship game will stand out a bit from others even though the ways funding is raised has been quite unique compared to other studio's and companies you may see outside of Hive.
This means that from now on we'll have our 2d artist take a break from creating new creatures and focus on creating sketches from different angles of existing ones, to give you a glimpse of this process, here's an "angle" sketch of Woolitz along with the original "stance" image.
So these sketches created by the original illustrator will give the 3d team a good idea of how to model and rig the creature for animations.
At the same time we are also working on the opening of vials and the inventory updates so that when players do open their vials they'll have an easy time seeing what new creatures and items they received all stacked nicely on the inventory page.
With the opening we also want to open up buying vials to a broader audience, so there's quite some work to be done here. One of our devs has opened up some extra time for in the coming month so we are looking forward to getting as much done as possible from his side! The timing is quite good, to say the least.
The opening is also important so that we'd continuously get some additional funding for the game, primarily for continued game development as it enters private alpha and the 3d generation. Maybe Hive will also go up a bit more from here on out which will help offset some of these costs!
Either way, we're looking forward to getting these last few pieces of the puzzle in place which brings us a lot closer to a beta version of the game where players can capture creatures and grow their inventory to collect more collection rewards all the while burning some zing for resources and other things!
We may adjust our zing distribution in the coming month as well to balance how we reward delegators, collectors and liquidity providers as those latter rewards are nearing an end and need to be restocked with new Zing!
For now that's it, I'll keep this post brief! Getting more creatures and especially our healer models and environment in 3d also brings us closer to revealing some sneak peeks and making a trailer for our game, we're quite excited to show that to the community!
