We all tend to have a friend, colleague, or family member with whom we have fond memories during this time of year. Even though we sometimes go our separate ways, there are always memories that bring a smile to our faces.
In this piece, I wanted to evoke that idea, to remember and treasure the good times. This piece is based on a personal photo that I have chosen not to upload to social media, in which I am interacting as a child with my grandfather, who sadly passed away a long time ago. I wanted to do this illustration today because it was his birthday, so more than a contribution to the community, it is a drawing that brings back memories for me.
