Greetings, folks. Hope you're having a lovely weekend, as well. I come in hot, bearing some Holozing goodies (err, fanart, I mean).
I've been dipping my toes into the Holozing community as of late and have been huffing more of its vibe and fever through its amazing posts on the community page. I just became aware of the male variants of healers and they look wonderful - just can't wait to see how the alpha gameplay plays out, so hyped for that.
For today's art, I chose to draw the Female Forest Healer, let's jump right into the nitty-gritty of her drawing procedure.
The Process
Background?
At this point, the drawing was more or less complete. All that remained was to add a background that went well with the lore and her characteristics, hence the green color - which, in turn, introduced the hassle of differentiating the background from her and giving the drawing some contrast.
Fireflies
I added some fireflies to her background (cuz "forest", duh!), and it actually ended up looking pretty nice - and less empty.
The Vegetation
I also used some of Procreate's default brushes to add vegetation behind her to make the surrounding area more forest-like and breathe more life into the drawing. Moreover, I shed some light on her and on top of the drawing which goes well with the fact that she's a healer, and that made the drawing brighter and livelier.
The Result
In the end, I gave her hair some "glitter" using my custom brushes for the extra "magic" which I think did well to help put everything together. I hope you enjoyed the fanart today, and I wish you all a wonderful rest of the weekend. Cheers~~
