Thank you for welcoming me so warmly with my previous post. I’m so happy for all the support I’ve received from this community, and that’s why I’ve decided to dedicate all my love to you with a new drawing.
And continuing with the Healer theme, it’s the Forest Healer’s turn, who looks very handsome to me.
REFERENCE / ORIGINAL ART FROM @HOLOZING
We start by drawing on 200-gram textured paper to achieve the desired paint effect for this drawing. Since he's from the forest, I'll also draw him a little companion. It occurs to me that since he's a Forest Healer, he has a very friendly personality, so I proceed to make the sketch to highlight it and then use India ink to add the final details.
My representation has a style reminiscent of the samurai era of the East, and the flora is the same. I wanted to use pastel or very light colors I had left over from a class, to maximize the use of materials and avoid wasting anything.
I used a very light base color to paint over those colors.
And after painting everything with watercolors, I go back and outline the lines with India ink to give everything more depth. It's very difficult to manage colors in watercolors because one mistake can ruin the design, or at least not give us the result we wanted.
What happened to me was that the pink didn't turn out as well as I would have liked for the trees; I darkened them too much. But I'm very happy that I can showcase the skills I learned in art school and apply them to share with the community.
I'm grateful once again for the love you've shown me, and I return it with my drawings and my efforts to create quality content for this community.
